Introduction of Surah

Quraysh is the 106th sura of the Qur’an, which refers to the tribe of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him), and takes its name from the 1st verse. The sura belongs to the Meccan period and comprises 4 verses, 19 words, 73 letters, and 1 segment. It is the 29th sura in chronological order, revealed after Sura al-Tin. The sura reminds the Quraysh of the blessings they have received from God Almigty, who has provided them with the means and facilities for their prosperity. The central theme of the sura is that one should worship God Almighty as He provides sustenance and protection to the needy and the fearful.
