In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the All-Merciful
الٓرٰ ۟ کِتٰبٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰہُ اِلَیۡکَ لِتُخۡرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَی النُّوۡرِ ۬ۙ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّہِمۡ اِلٰی صِرَاطِ الۡعَزِیۡزِ الۡحَمِیۡدِ ۙ﴿۱﴾
1. Alif, Lam, Ra. (This is) a Book We have revealed to you so that you may bring humankind out of darkness into light, by the command of their Lord, (and lead them) to the path of the All-Mighty, the All-Praiseworthy.
الر كتاب أنزلناه إليك لتخرج الناس من الظلمات إلى النور بإذن ربهم إلى صراط العزيز الحميد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 1)
اللّٰہِ الَّذِیۡ لَہٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَ وَیۡلٌ لِّلۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ شَدِیۡدِۣ ۙ﴿۲﴾
2. (He is) Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And woe to the disbelievers for the suffering of a terrible punishment.
الله الذي له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض وويل للكافرين من عذاب شديد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 2)
الَّذِیۡنَ یَسۡتَحِبُّوۡنَ الۡحَیٰوۃَ الدُّنۡیَا عَلَی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ وَ یَصُدُّوۡنَ عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ وَ یَبۡغُوۡنَہَا عِوَجًا ؕ اُولٰٓئِکَ فِیۡ ضَلٰلٍۭ بَعِیۡدٍ ﴿۳﴾
3. (They are) the ones who prefer the life of this world over the Hereafter, and bar (others) from the way of Allah and seek to make it crooked. Such people have gone far astray.
الذين يستحبون الحياة الدنيا على الآخرة ويصدون عن سبيل الله ويبغونها عوجا أولـئك في ضلال بعيد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 3)
وَ مَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوۡمِہٖ لِیُبَیِّنَ لَہُمۡ ؕ فَیُضِلُّ اللّٰہُ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ وَ یَہۡدِیۡ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ ؕ وَ ہُوَ الۡعَزِیۡزُ الۡحَکِیۡمُ ﴿۴﴾
4. We have not sent any messenger except with the language of his people so that He could explain (Our message) to them clearly. Then Allah leaves to stray whomsoever He wills and guides whomsoever He wills. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
وما أرسلنا من رسول إلا بلسان قومه ليبين لهم فيضل الله من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء وهو العزيز الحكيم
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 4)
وَ لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوۡسٰی بِاٰیٰتِنَاۤ اَنۡ اَخۡرِجۡ قَوۡمَکَ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَی النُّوۡرِ ۬ۙ وَ ذَکِّرۡہُمۡ بِاَیّٰىمِ اللّٰہِ ؕ اِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّکُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَکُوۡرٍ ﴿۵﴾
5. Indeed, We sent Musa (Moses) with Our signs (telling him): ‘Bring your people out of the darkness into the light, and remind them of Allah’s Days (of special favour).’ Surely, there are signs in that for whoever is patient and thankful.
ولقد أرسلنا موسى بآياتنا أن أخرج قومك من الظلمات إلى النور وذكرهم بأيام الله إن في ذلك لآيات لكل صبار شكور
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 5)
وَ اِذۡ قَالَ مُوۡسٰی لِقَوۡمِہِ اذۡکُرُوۡا نِعۡمَۃَ اللّٰہِ عَلَیۡکُمۡ اِذۡ اَنۡجٰکُمۡ مِّنۡ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ یَسُوۡمُوۡنَکُمۡ سُوۡٓءَ الۡعَذَابِ وَ یُذَبِّحُوۡنَ اَبۡنَآءَکُمۡ وَ یَسۡتَحۡیُوۡنَ نِسَآءَکُمۡ ؕ وَ فِیۡ ذٰلِکُمۡ بَلَآءٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ عَظِیۡمٌ ٪﴿۶﴾
6. And when Musa (Moses) said to his people: ‘Remember Allah’s blessing upon you, when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, while they were subjecting you to terrible punishment and they were slaughtering your sons and sparing only your women. And in that (situation) was a great trial from your Lord.’
وإذ قال موسى لقومه اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ أنجاكم من آل فرعون يسومونكم سوء العذاب ويذبحون أبناءكم ويستحيون نساءكم وفي ذلكم بلاء من ربكم عظيم
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 6)
وَ اِذۡ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّکُمۡ لَئِنۡ شَکَرۡتُمۡ لَاَزِیۡدَنَّکُمۡ وَ لَئِنۡ کَفَرۡتُمۡ اِنَّ عَذَابِیۡ لَشَدِیۡدٌ ﴿۷﴾
7. And when your Lord proclaimed: ‘If you are grateful, I shall surely increase you (in blessings), but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is surely severe.’
وإذ تأذن ربكم لئن شكرتم لأزيدنكم ولئن كفرتم إن عذابي لشديد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 7)
وَ قَالَ مُوۡسٰۤی اِنۡ تَکۡفُرُوۡۤا اَنۡتُمۡ وَ مَنۡ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِیۡعًا ۙ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَغَنِیٌّ حَمِیۡدٌ ﴿۸﴾
8. And Musa (Moses) said: ‘Even if you and everyone on the earth were to be ungrateful all together, yet Allah is most surely Self-Sufficient, All-Praised.’
وقال موسى إن تكفروا أنتم ومن في الأرض جميعا فإن الله لغني حميد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 8)
اَلَمۡ یَاۡتِکُمۡ نَبَؤُا الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِکُمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوۡحٍ وَّ عَادٍ وَّ ثَمُوۡدَ ۬ؕۛ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِہِمۡ ؕۛ لَا یَعۡلَمُہُمۡ اِلَّا اللّٰہُ ؕ جَآءَتۡہُمۡ رُسُلُہُمۡ بِالۡبَیِّنٰتِ فَرَدُّوۡۤا اَیۡدِیَہُمۡ فِیۡۤ اَفۡوَاہِہِمۡ وَ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا کَفَرۡنَا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلۡتُمۡ بِہٖ وَ اِنَّا لَفِیۡ شَکٍّ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَنَاۤ اِلَیۡہِ مُرِیۡبٍ ﴿۹﴾
9. Has there not come to you the account of those (generations) who were before you—the people of Nuh (Noah), the ‘Ad and the Thamud, and those after them, whom no one knows except Allah? Their messengers brought them clear signs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: ‘We disbelieve in what you have been sent with, and indeed, We have serious doubts about what you are inviting us to.’
ألم يأتكم نبأ الذين من قبلكم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود والذين من بعدهم لا يعلمهم إلا الله جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فردوا أيديهم في أفواههم وقالوا إنا كفرنا بما أرسلتم به وإنا لفي شك مما تدعوننا إليه مريب
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 9)
قَالَتۡ رُسُلُہُمۡ اَفِی اللّٰہِ شَکٌّ فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ یَدۡعُوۡکُمۡ لِیَغۡفِرَ لَکُمۡ مِّنۡ ذُنُوۡبِکُمۡ وَ یُؤَخِّرَکُمۡ اِلٰۤی اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّی ؕ قَالُوۡۤا اِنۡ اَنۡتُمۡ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُنَا ؕ تُرِیۡدُوۡنَ اَنۡ تَصُدُّوۡنَا عَمَّا کَانَ یَعۡبُدُ اٰبَآؤُنَا فَاۡتُوۡنَا بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِیۡنٍ ﴿۱۰﴾
10. Their messengers said: ‘Is there any doubt about (the existence of) Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth? He invites you to forgive some of your sins and grant you respite until a specified time.’ They said: ‘You are nothing but a human being like us; you want to turn us away from what our forefathers used to worship. So bring us some clear authority.’
قالت رسلهم أفي الله شك فاطر السماوات والأرض يدعوكم ليغفر لكم من ذنوبكم ويؤخركم إلى أجل مسـمى قالوا إن أنتم إلا بشر مثلنا تريدون أن تصدونا عما كان يعبد آبآؤنا فأتونا بسلطان مبين
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 10)
قَالَتۡ لَہُمۡ رُسُلُہُمۡ اِنۡ نَّحۡنُ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُکُمۡ وَ لٰکِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَمُنُّ عَلٰی مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِہٖ ؕ وَ مَا کَانَ لَنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّاۡتِیَکُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ اِلَّا بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰہِ ؕ وَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ فَلۡیَتَوَکَّلِ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ﴿۱۱﴾
11. Their messengers said to them: ‘We may be human beings like yourselves, but Allah bestows (His) grace upon whomever He pleases among His servants. And it is not for us to bring you authority except by Allah’s permission. And in Allah, let the believers put their trust.
قالت لهم رسلهم إن نحن إلا بشر مثلكم ولـكن الله يمن على من يشاء من عباده وما كان لنا أن نأتيكم بسلطان إلا بإذن الله وعلى الله فليتوكل المؤمنون
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 11)
وَ مَا لَنَاۤ اَلَّا نَتَوَکَّلَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ وَ قَدۡ ہَدٰىنَا سُبُلَنَا ؕ وَ لَنَصۡبِرَنَّ عَلٰی مَاۤ اٰذَیۡتُمُوۡنَا ؕ وَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ فَلۡیَتَوَکَّلِ الۡمُتَوَکِّلُوۡنَ ﴿٪۱۲﴾
12. Why should We not trust in Allah, seeing that He has guided us in our ways? And surely, We will patiently endure whatever harm you inflict upon us. And in Allah let all the trusting (people) put their trust.’
وما لنا ألا نتوكل على الله وقد هدانا سبلنا ولنصبرن على ما آذيتمونا وعلى الله فليتوكل المتوكلون
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 12)
وَ قَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لِرُسُلِہِمۡ لَنُخۡرِجَنَّکُمۡ مِّنۡ اَرۡضِنَاۤ اَوۡ لَتَعُوۡدُنَّ فِیۡ مِلَّتِنَا ؕ فَاَوۡحٰۤی اِلَیۡہِمۡ رَبُّہُمۡ لَنُہۡلِکَنَّ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۱۳﴾
13. The disbelievers said to their messengers: ‘We shall surely expel you from our land, or you shall revert to our creed.’ So their Lord revealed to them: ‘We shall surely destroy the wrongdoers,
وقال الذين كفروا لرسلهم لنخرجنـكم من أرضنآ أو لتعودن في ملتنا فأوحى إليهم ربهم لنهلكن الظالمين
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 13)
وَ لَنُسۡکِنَنَّـکُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِہِمۡ ؕ ذٰلِکَ لِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامِیۡ وَ خَافَ وَعِیۡدِ ﴿۱۴﴾
14. and We shall surely settle you in the land after them. This (promise) is for whoever fears standing in My presence and fears My warning (of torment).’
ولنسكننـكم الأرض من بعدهم ذلك لمن خاف مقامي وخاف وعيد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 14)
یَّتَجَرَّعُہٗ وَ لَا یَکَادُ یُسِیۡغُہٗ وَ یَاۡتِیۡہِ الۡمَوۡتُ مِنۡ کُلِّ مَکَانٍ وَّ مَا ہُوَ بِمَیِّتٍ ؕ وَ مِنۡ وَّرَآئِہٖ عَذَابٌ غَلِیۡظٌ ﴿۱۷﴾
17. He will try to gulp it down but can hardly swallow it. Death will encroach on him from every side, but he will not die. And there is (yet) more intense punishment ahead of him.
يتجرعه ولا يكاد يسيغه ويأتيه الموت من كل مكان وما هو بميت ومن ورآئه عذاب غليظ
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 17)
مَثَلُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا بِرَبِّہِمۡ اَعۡمَالُہُمۡ کَرَمَادِۣ اشۡتَدَّتۡ بِہِ الرِّیۡحُ فِیۡ یَوۡمٍ عَاصِفٍ ؕ لَا یَقۡدِرُوۡنَ مِمَّا کَسَبُوۡا عَلٰی شَیۡءٍ ؕ ذٰلِکَ ہُوَ الضَّلٰلُ الۡبَعِیۡدُ ﴿۱۸﴾
18. The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord: Their deeds are like ashes over which the wind blows intensely on a stormy day (causing them to scatter). They will have no control over anything they have earned. That is the farthest error.
مثل الذين كفروا بربهم أعمالهم كرماد اشتدت به الريح في يوم عاصف لا يقدرون مما كسبوا على شيء ذلك هو الضلال البعيد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 18)
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضَ بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ اِنۡ یَّشَاۡ یُذۡہِبۡکُمۡ وَ یَاۡتِ بِخَلۡقٍ جَدِیۡدٍ ﴿ۙ۱۹﴾
19. Do you not see that Allah created the heavens and the earth with a truthful purpose? If He wills, He can remove you (all) and bring a new creation,
ألم تر أن الله خلق السماوات والأرض بالحق إن يشأ يذهبكم ويأت بخلق جديد
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 19)
وَ بَرَزُوۡا لِلّٰہِ جَمِیۡعًا فَقَالَ الضُّعَفٰٓؤُا لِلَّذِیۡنَ اسۡتَکۡبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّا کُنَّا لَکُمۡ تَبَعًا فَہَلۡ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّغۡنُوۡنَ عَنَّا مِنۡ عَذَابِ اللّٰہِ مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ ؕ قَالُوۡا لَوۡ ہَدٰىنَا اللّٰہُ لَہَدَیۡنٰکُمۡ ؕ سَوَآءٌ عَلَیۡنَاۤ اَجَزِعۡنَاۤ اَمۡ صَبَرۡنَا مَا لَنَا مِنۡ مَّحِیۡصٍ ﴿٪۲۱﴾
21. They will appear before Allah together. Then the weak (followers) will say to the arrogant (leaders): ‘Indeed we were your followers. So will you rescue us from Allah’s punishment in any way?’ They will say: ‘If Allah had guided us, we too would have guided you. It is the same to us whether we become impatient or remain patient; there is no escape for us.’
وبرزوا لله جميعا فقال الضعفاء للذين استكبروا إنا كنا لكم تبعا فهل أنتم مغنون عنا من عذاب الله من شيء قالوا لو هدانا الله لهديناكم سواء علينآ أجزعنا أم صبرنا ما لنا من محيص
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 21)
وَ قَالَ الشَّیۡطٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِیَ الۡاَمۡرُ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ وَعَدَکُمۡ وَعۡدَ الۡحَقِّ وَ وَعَدۡتُّکُمۡ فَاَخۡلَفۡتُکُمۡ ؕ وَ مَا کَانَ لِیَ عَلَیۡکُمۡ مِّنۡ سُلۡطٰنٍ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ دَعَوۡتُکُمۡ فَاسۡتَجَبۡتُمۡ لِیۡ ۚ فَلَا تَلُوۡمُوۡنِیۡ وَ لُوۡمُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَکُمۡ ؕ مَاۤ اَنَا بِمُصۡرِخِکُمۡ وَ مَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ بِمُصۡرِخِیَّ ؕ اِنِّیۡ کَفَرۡتُ بِمَاۤ اَشۡرَکۡتُمُوۡنِ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ اِنَّ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ لَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۲۲﴾
22. And Satan will say (to his followers), once the judgement is passed: ‘Indeed, Allah promised you (and it was) a true promise, whereas I (too) made you a promise, but I failed you. And I had no authority over you, except that I called you (towards falsehood), and you responded to me (for your own interest). So, do not blame me; blame yourselves. I cannot respond to your distress calls, nor can you respond to my distress calls. Surely, I deny your taking me as Allah’s partner previously. As for the wrongdoers, surely there shall be a painful punishment for them.
وقال الشيطان لما قضي الأمر إن الله وعدكم وعد الحق ووعدتكم فأخلفتكم وما كان لي عليكم من سلطان إلا أن دعوتكم فاستجبتم لي فلا تلوموني ولوموا أنفسكم ما أنا بمصرخكم وما أنتم بمصرخي إني كفرت بمآ أشركتمون من قبل إن الظالمين لهم عذاب أليم
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 22)
وَ اُدۡخِلَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِیۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِہَا الۡاَنۡہٰرُ خٰلِدِیۡنَ فِیۡہَا بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّہِمۡ ؕ تَحِیَّتُہُمۡ فِیۡہَا سَلٰمٌ ﴿۲۳﴾
23. Those who believe and perform righteous deeds shall be made to enter Gardens with rivers flowing beneath them. They will remain in them forever by the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: ‘Peace!’
وأدخل الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار خالدين فيها بإذن ربهم تحيتهم فيها سلام
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 23)
اَلَمۡ تَرَ کَیۡفَ ضَرَبَ اللّٰہُ مَثَلًا کَلِمَۃً طَیِّبَۃً کَشَجَرَۃٍ طَیِّبَۃٍ اَصۡلُہَا ثَابِتٌ وَّ فَرۡعُہَا فِی السَّمَآءِ ﴿ۙ۲۴﴾
24. Have you not considered how Allah makes comparisons? A good word is like a good tree: its roots are firm (in the earth), and its branches are (high) in the sky.
ألم تر كيف ضرب الله مثلا كلمة طيبة كشجرة طيبة أصلها ثابت وفرعها في السماء
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 24)
تُؤۡتِیۡۤ اُکُلَہَا کُلَّ حِیۡنٍۭ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّہَا ؕ وَ یَضۡرِبُ اللّٰہُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّہُمۡ یَتَذَکَّرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۵﴾
25. It gives its fruit every season by the leave of its Lord. And Allah makes such comparisons for people so that they may be mindful of advice.
تؤتي أكلها كل حين بإذن ربها ويضرب الله الأمثال للناس لعلهم يتذكرون
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 25)
وَ مَثَلُ کَلِمَۃٍ خَبِیۡثَۃٍ کَشَجَرَۃٍ خَبِیۡثَۃِۣ اجۡتُثَّتۡ مِنۡ فَوۡقِ الۡاَرۡضِ مَا لَہَا مِنۡ قَرَارٍ ﴿۲۶﴾
26. And the example of a bad word is that of a rotten tree: uprooted from the earth’s surface, having no stability.
ومثل كلمة خبيثة كشجرة خبيثة اجتثت من فوق الأرض ما لها من قرار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 26)
یُثَبِّتُ اللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِالۡقَوۡلِ الثَّابِتِ فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا وَ فِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ ۚ وَ یُضِلُّ اللّٰہُ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ ۟ۙ وَ یَفۡعَلُ اللّٰہُ مَا یَشَآءُ ﴿٪۲۷﴾
27. Allah reassures those who believe with the firm word (of truth) in the life of this world and the Hereafter, and Allah leaves the wrongdoers to stray. And Allah does whatever He pleases.
يثبت الله الذين آمنوا بالقول الثابت في الحياة الدنيا وفي الآخرة ويضل الله الظالمين ويفعل الله ما يشاء
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 27)
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اِلَی الَّذِیۡنَ بَدَّلُوۡا نِعۡمَتَ اللّٰہِ کُفۡرًا وَّ اَحَلُّوۡا قَوۡمَہُمۡ دَارَ الۡبَوَارِ ﴿ۙ۲۸﴾
28. Have you not seen those who have exchanged the blessing of Allah with disbelief (or ingratitude) and caused their people to dwell in the abode of destruction?
ألم تر إلى الذين بدلوا نعمة الله كفرا وأحلوا قومهم دار البوار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 28)
وَ جَعَلُوۡا لِلّٰہِ اَنۡدَادًا لِّیُضِلُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِہٖ ؕ قُلۡ تَمَتَّعُوۡا فَاِنَّ مَصِیۡرَکُمۡ اِلَی النَّارِ ﴿۳۰﴾
30. And they have set up equals to Allah, to lead (people) astray from His way. Say: ‘Enjoy yourselves (for a while), for indeed your destination is towards the Fire.’
وجعلوا لله أندادا ليضلوا عن سبيله قل تمتعوا فإن مصيركم إلى النار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 30)
قُلۡ لِّعِبَادِیَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا یُقِیۡمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ یُنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ سِرًّا وَّ عَلَانِیَۃً مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ یَّاۡتِیَ یَوۡمٌ لَّا بَیۡعٌ فِیۡہِ وَ لَا خِلٰلٌ ﴿۳۱﴾
31. Tell My believing servants to establish the prayer and to spend (in charity) out of what We have provided them, secretly and openly, before there comes a day wherein there will be neither any bargain nor (any worldly) friendship.
قل لعبادي الذين آمنوا يقيموا الصلاة وينفقوا مما رزقناهم سرا وعلانية من قبل أن يأتي يوم لا بيع فيه ولا خلال
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 31)
اَللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضَ وَ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَخۡرَجَ بِہٖ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ رِزۡقًا لَّکُمۡ ۚ وَ سَخَّرَ لَکُمُ الۡفُلۡکَ لِتَجۡرِیَ فِی الۡبَحۡرِ بِاَمۡرِہٖ ۚ وَ سَخَّرَ لَکُمُ الۡاَنۡہٰرَ ﴿ۚ۳۲﴾
32. Allah is (the One) Who created the heavens and the earth, sent down water from the clouds, and brought forth crops for your sustenance with it. And He has subjected the ships for your service so that they may sail through the sea by His command. And He has (also) subjected the rivers for you.
الله الذي خلق السماوات والأرض وأنزل من السماء ماء فأخرج به من الثمرات رزقا لكم وسخر لكم الفلك لتجري في البحر بأمره وسخر لكم الأنهار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 32)
وَ سَخَّرَ لَکُمُ الشَّمۡسَ وَ الۡقَمَرَ دَآئِبَیۡنِ ۚ وَ سَخَّرَ لَکُمُ الَّیۡلَ وَ النَّہَارَ ﴿ۚ۳۳﴾
33. And He has subjected the sun and the moon for you, constantly rotating (in their respective orbits). And He has (also) subjected the night and the day for you.
وسخر لكم الشمس والقمر دآئبين وسخر لكم الليل والنهار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 33)
وَ اٰتٰىکُمۡ مِّنۡ کُلِّ مَا سَاَلۡتُمُوۡہُ ؕ وَ اِنۡ تَعُدُّوۡا نِعۡمَتَ اللّٰہِ لَا تُحۡصُوۡہَا ؕ اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَظَلُوۡمٌ کَفَّارٌ ﴿٪۳۴﴾
34. And He has provided you with everything you demanded from Him (for your needs). If you count the blessings of Allah, you will not be able to number them. Indeed, human being is most unjust (and) ungrateful.
وآتاكم من كل ما سألتموه وإن تعدوا نعمت الله لا تحصوها إن الإنسان لظلوم كفار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 34)
وَ اِذۡ قَالَ اِبۡرٰہِیۡمُ رَبِّ اجۡعَلۡ ہٰذَا الۡبَلَدَ اٰمِنًا وَّ اجۡنُبۡنِیۡ وَ بَنِیَّ اَنۡ نَّعۡبُدَ الۡاَصۡنَامَ ﴿ؕ۳۵﴾
35. And (recall) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said: ‘O my Lord, make this city (Mecca) a secure sanctuary, and save me and my children from worshipping idols.
وإذ قال إبراهيم رب اجعل هـذا البلد آمنا واجنبني وبني أن نعبد الأصنام
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 35)
رَبِّ اِنَّہُنَّ اَضۡلَلۡنَ کَثِیۡرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ ۚ فَمَنۡ تَبِعَنِیۡ فَاِنَّہٗ مِنِّیۡ ۚ وَ مَنۡ عَصَانِیۡ فَاِنَّکَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِیۡمٌ ﴿۳۶﴾
36. My Lord! These (idols) have indeed led many people astray! So whoever follows me certainly belongs to me, but as for anyone who disobeys me, You are surely Most-Forgiving, All-Merciful.
رب إنهن أضللن كثيرا من الناس فمن تبعني فإنه مني ومن عصاني فإنك غفور رحيم
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 36)
رَبَّنَاۤ اِنِّیۡۤ اَسۡکَنۡتُ مِنۡ ذُرِّیَّتِیۡ بِوَادٍ غَیۡرِ ذِیۡ زَرۡعٍ عِنۡدَ بَیۡتِکَ الۡمُحَرَّمِ ۙ رَبَّنَا لِیُـقِیۡمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ فَاجۡعَلۡ اَفۡئِدَۃً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَہۡوِیۡۤ اِلَیۡہِمۡ وَارۡ زُقۡہُمۡ مِّنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ لَعَلَّہُمۡ یَشۡکُرُوۡنَ ﴿۳۷﴾
37. Our Lord! I have settled (some) of my children (i.e. Isma‘il [Ishmael]) in a barren valley (of Mecca) near Your Sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish the prayer. So cause the hearts of (the believing) people to incline towards them, and provide them with fruits, that they may be grateful.
ربنا إني أسكنت من ذريتي بواد غير ذي زرع عند بيتك المحرم ربنا ليقيموا الصلاة فاجعل أفئدة من الناس تهوي إليهم وارزقهم من الثمرات لعلهم يشكرون
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 37)
رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّکَ تَعۡلَمُ مَا نُخۡفِیۡ وَ مَا نُعۡلِنُ ؕ وَ مَا یَخۡفٰی عَلَی اللّٰہِ مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ وَ لَا فِی السَّمَآءِ ﴿۳۸﴾
38. Our Lord! Indeed, You know whatever we conceal and whatever we reveal. And nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the sky.
ربنا إنك تعلم ما نخفي وما نعلن وما يخفى على الله من شيء في الأرض ولا في السماء
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 38)
اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیۡ وَہَبَ لِیۡ عَلَی الۡکِبَرِ اِسۡمٰعِیۡلَ وَ اِسۡحٰقَ ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّیۡ لَسَمِیۡعُ الدُّعَآءِ ﴿۳۹﴾
39. All praise belongs to Allah Who, despite (my) old age, bestowed upon me Isma‘il (Ishmael) and Ishaq (Isaac). Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplications.
الحمد لله الذي وهب لي على الكبر إسماعيل وإسحق إن ربي لسميع الدعاء
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 39)
رَبَّنَا اغۡفِرۡ لِیۡ وَ لِوَالِدَیَّ وَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ یَوۡمَ یَقُوۡمُ الۡحِسَابُ ﴿٪۴۱﴾
41. Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents and the believers on the Day when the reckoning is held.’
* Here reference is made to the real father of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) Tarakh who was neither a disbeliever nor a polytheist. He was rather a believer in the true Din (Religion). Azar was in fact Ibrahim’s uncle who brought him up after his father’s demise and was called his father figuratively. He was a polytheist, and Ibrahim (Abraham) was forbidden to pray for his forgiveness. In this Verse the prayer is meant for his real parents. Allah liked this prayer so much that it has been prescribed for the Umma (Community) to supplicate with it in all of the ritual Prayers.
ربنا اغفر لي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين يوم يقوم الحساب
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 41)
وَ لَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ اللّٰہَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا یَعۡمَلُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ۬ؕ اِنَّمَا یُؤَخِّرُہُمۡ لِیَوۡمٍ تَشۡخَصُ فِیۡہِ الۡاَبۡصَارُ ﴿ۙ۴۲﴾
42. And do not think Allah to be unaware of what the wrongdoers are doing. He is only delaying them for a Day when (their) eyes will stare (in horror),
ولا تحسبن الله غافلا عما يعمل الظالمون إنما يؤخرهم ليوم تشخص فيه الأبصار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 42)
مُہۡطِعِیۡنَ مُقۡنِعِیۡ رُءُوۡسِہِمۡ لَا یَرۡتَدُّ اِلَیۡہِمۡ طَرۡفُہُمۡ ۚ وَ اَفۡـِٕدَتُہُمۡ ہَوَآءٌ ﴿ؕ۴۳﴾
43. running forward with their heads upraised (and necks outstretched). Their glance will not return to them, and their hearts will be vacant (having been drained of strength and hope).
مهطعين مقنعي رءوسهم لا يرتد إليهم طرفهم وأفئدتهم هواء
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 43)
وَ اَنۡذِرِ النَّاسَ یَوۡمَ یَاۡتِیۡہِمُ الۡعَذَابُ فَیَقُوۡلُ الَّذِیۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا رَبَّنَاۤ اَخِّرۡنَاۤ اِلٰۤی اَجَلٍ قَرِیۡبٍ ۙ نُّجِبۡ دَعۡوَتَکَ وَ نَتَّبِعِ الرُّسُلَ ؕ اَوَ لَمۡ تَکُوۡنُوۡۤا اَقۡسَمۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ قَبۡلُ مَا لَکُمۡ مِّنۡ زَوَالٍ ﴿ۙ۴۴﴾
44. And warn the people of the Day when the punishment shall overtake them, then the wrongdoers will say: ‘Our Lord, grant us respite for a little while. We will respond to Your call and follow the messengers.’ (They will be told:) ‘Did you not use to swear before that there would be no end for you (in the worldly life)?’
وأنذر الناس يوم يأتيهم العذاب فيقول الذين ظلموا ربنا أخرنا إلى أجل قريب نجب دعوتك ونتبع الرسل أولم تكونوا أقسمتم من قبل ما لكم من زوال
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 44)
وَّ سَکَنۡتُمۡ فِیۡ مَسٰکِنِ الَّذِیۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَہُمۡ وَ تَبَیَّنَ لَکُمۡ کَیۡفَ فَعَلۡنَا بِہِمۡ وَ ضَرَبۡنَا لَکُمُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ ﴿۴۵﴾
45. You settled in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves (before). And it was made clear to you how We had dealt with them, and We have (also) cited examples for you.
وسكنتم في مسـاكن الذين ظلموا أنفسهم وتبين لكم كيف فعلنا بهم وضربنا لكم الأمثال
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 45)
وَ قَدۡ مَکَرُوۡا مَکۡرَہُمۡ وَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ مَکۡرُہُمۡ ؕ وَ اِنۡ کَانَ مَکۡرُہُمۡ لِتَزُوۡلَ مِنۡہُ الۡجِبَالُ ﴿۴۶﴾
46. Indeed, they devised their schemes, but (the undoing of) their schemes lies with Allah, even if their schemes were such to dislodge the mountains.
وقد مكروا مكرهم وعند الله مكرهم وإن كان مكرهم لتزول منه الجبال
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 46)
فَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ اللّٰہَ مُخۡلِفَ وَعۡدِہٖ رُسُلَہٗ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَزِیۡزٌ ذُو انۡتِقَامٍ ﴿ؕ۴۷﴾
47. Therefore, do not think Allah would fail to keep His promise to His messengers. Indeed, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Capable of Retribution.
فلا تحسبن الله مخلف وعده رسله إن الله عزيز ذو انتقام
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 47)
یَوۡمَ تُبَدَّلُ الۡاَرۡضُ غَیۡرَ الۡاَرۡضِ وَ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَ بَرَزُوۡا لِلّٰہِ الۡوَاحِدِ الۡقَہَّارِ ﴿۴۸﴾
48. (It will be) on the Day when the earth will be transformed into a different earth and the heavens (as well). And all will appear before Allah, the One, the Supreme.
يوم تبدل الأرض غير الأرض والسماوات وبرزوا لله الواحد القهار
(إِبْرَاهِيْم، 14 : 48)
ہٰذَا بَلٰغٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَ لِیُنۡذَرُوۡا بِہٖ وَ لِیَعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّمَا ہُوَ اِلٰہٌ وَّاحِدٌ وَّ لِیَذَّکَّرَ اُولُوا الۡاَلۡبَابِ ﴿٪۵۲﴾
