In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the All-Merciful
یَسۡـَٔلُوۡنَکَ عَنِ الۡاَنۡفَالِ ؕ قُلِ الۡاَنۡفَالُ لِلّٰہِ وَ الرَّسُوۡلِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰہَ وَ اَصۡلِحُوۡا ذَاتَ بَیۡنِکُمۡ ۪ وَ اَطِیۡعُوا اللّٰہَ وَ رَسُوۡلَہٗۤ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِیۡنَ ﴿۱﴾
1. (Esteemed Messenger!) They ask you about (the distribution of) the spoils of war. Say: ‘The spoils belong to Allah and the Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him). So be conscious of Allah and settle the matters (of disagreement) nicely among yourselves. And obey Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) if you are (true) believers.’
يسألونك عن الأنفال قل الأنفال لله والرسول فاتقوا الله وأصلحوا ذات بينكم وأطيعوا الله ورسوله إن كنتم مؤمنين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 1)
اِنَّمَا الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ الَّذِیۡنَ اِذَا ذُکِرَ اللّٰہُ وَجِلَتۡ قُلُوۡبُہُمۡ وَ اِذَا تُلِیَتۡ عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتُہٗ زَادَتۡہُمۡ اِیۡمَانًا وَّ عَلٰی رَبِّہِمۡ یَتَوَکَّلُوۡنَ ۚ﴿ۖ۲﴾
2. The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble (with reverence). And when His revelations are recited to them, they increase their faith—and they trust in their Lord.
إنما المؤمنون الذين إذا ذكر الله وجلت قلوبهم وإذا تليت عليهم آياته زادتهم إيمانا وعلى ربهم يتوكلون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 2)
اُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ حَقًّا ؕ لَہُمۡ دَرَجٰتٌ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہِمۡ وَ مَغۡفِرَۃٌ وَّ رِزۡقٌ کَرِیۡمٌ ۚ﴿۴﴾
4. They are the ones who are the true believers. They shall have (high) ranks in the presence of their Lord, forgiveness and generous provision.
أولـئك هم المؤمنون حقا لهم درجات عند ربهم ومغفرة ورزق كريم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 4)
کَمَاۤ اَخۡرَجَکَ رَبُّکَ مِنۡۢ بَیۡتِکَ بِالۡحَقِّ ۪ وَ اِنَّ فَرِیۡقًا مِّنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ لَکٰرِہُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۵﴾
5. (Esteemed Prophet!) For it was your Lord Who brought you out from your home for a just cause, though a group of the believers were indeed reluctant.
كما أخرجك ربك من بيتك بالحق وإن فريقا من المؤمنين لكارهون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 5)
یُجَادِلُوۡنَکَ فِی الۡحَقِّ بَعۡدَ مَا تَبَیَّنَ کَاَنَّمَا یُسَاقُوۡنَ اِلَی الۡمَوۡتِ وَ ہُمۡ یَنۡظُرُوۡنَ ؕ﴿۶﴾
6. They disputed with you about the just cause even after it became clear (to them). (It was) as if they were being driven towards death while they could see themselves.
يجادلونك في الحق بعد ما تبين كأنما يساقون إلى الموت وهم ينظرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 6)
وَ اِذۡ یَعِدُکُمُ اللّٰہُ اِحۡدَی الطَّآئِفَتَیۡنِ اَنَّہَا لَکُمۡ وَ تَوَدُّوۡنَ اَنَّ غَیۡرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوۡکَۃِ تَکُوۡنُ لَکُمۡ وَ یُرِیۡدُ اللّٰہُ اَنۡ یُّحِقَّ الۡحَقَّ بِکَلِمٰتِہٖ وَ یَقۡطَعَ دَابِرَ الۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۷﴾
7. And (remember) when Allah promised you (victory over) one of the two (enemy) groups, (saying:) ‘It is for you.’ You wished the unarmed one to be yours (for that was easy to encounter). But Allah desired to establish the truth through His Words and to cut off the roots of the (invading) disbelievers,
وإذ يعدكم الله إحدى الطائفتين أنها لكم وتودون أن غير ذات الشوكة تكون لكم ويريد الله أن يحق الحق بكلماته ويقطع دابر الكافرين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 7)
اِذۡ تَسۡتَغِیۡثُوۡنَ رَبَّکُمۡ فَاسۡتَجَابَ لَکُمۡ اَنِّیۡ مُمِدُّکُمۡ بِاَلۡفٍ مِّنَ الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃِ مُرۡدِفِیۡنَ ﴿۹﴾
9. And (remember) when you were calling upon your Lord for help, He responded to your supplication, (saying:) ‘I am going to reinforce you with a thousand angels coming in ranks upon ranks.’
إذ تستغيثون ربكم فاستجاب لكم أني ممدكم بألف من الملآئكة مردفين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 9)
وَ مَا جَعَلَہُ اللّٰہُ اِلَّا بُشۡرٰی وَ لِتَطۡمَئِنَّ بِہٖ قُلُوۡبُکُمۡ ۚ وَ مَا النَّصۡرُ اِلَّا مِنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰہِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَزِیۡزٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿٪۱۰﴾
10. Allah did not make it but as good news (of victory), and that your hearts may feel peace through it. And victory comes only from Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
وما جعله الله إلا بشرى ولتطمئن به قلوبكم وما النصر إلا من عند الله إن الله عزيز حكيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 10)
اِذۡ یُغَشِّیۡکُمُ النُّعَاسَ اَمَنَۃً مِّنۡہُ وَ یُنَزِّلُ عَلَیۡکُمۡ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً لِّیُطَہِّرَکُمۡ بِہٖ وَ یُذۡہِبَ عَنۡکُمۡ رِجۡزَ الشَّیۡطٰنِ وَ لِیَرۡبِطَ عَلٰی قُلُوۡبِکُمۡ وَ یُثَبِّتَ بِہِ الۡاَقۡدَامَ ﴿ؕ۱۱﴾
11. And (remember) when He caused drowsiness to overcome you (on the night before the battle) as (a feeling of) security from Him, and He sent down water upon you from the sky to purify you with it, and to remove from you Satan’s pollution (of suspicions), and to fortify your hearts and to make (your) steps firm and steady.
إذ يغشيكم النعاس أمنة منه وينزل عليكم من السماء ماء ليطهركم به ويذهب عنكم رجز الشيطان وليربط على قلوبكم ويثبت به الأقدام
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 11)
اِذۡ یُوۡحِیۡ رَبُّکَ اِلَی الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃِ اَنِّیۡ مَعَکُمۡ فَثَبِّتُوا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ؕ سَاُلۡقِیۡ فِیۡ قُلُوۡبِ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوا الرُّعۡبَ فَاضۡرِبُوۡا فَوۡقَ الۡاَعۡنَاقِ وَ اضۡرِبُوۡا مِنۡہُمۡ کُلَّ بَنَانٍ ﴿ؕ۱۲﴾
12. And (remember) when your Lord revealed to the angels: ‘I am with you; so make the believers stand firm. I shall cast fear into the hearts of the (invading) disbelievers. So, strike (them) above the necks and strike each of their fingertips (during the battle).’
إذ يوحي ربك إلى الملآئكة أني معكم فثبتوا الذين آمنوا سألقي في قلوب الذين كفروا الرعب فاضربوا فوق الأعناق واضربوا منهم كل بنان
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 12)
ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّہُمۡ شَآقُّوا اللّٰہَ وَ رَسُوۡلَہٗ ۚ وَ مَنۡ یُّشَاقِقِ اللّٰہَ وَ رَسُوۡلَہٗ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ شَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ﴿۱۳﴾
13. That is because they defied Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him). And whosoever defies Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), Allah is indeed severe in retribution.
ذلك بأنهم شآقوا الله ورسوله ومن يشاقق الله ورسوله فإن الله شديد العقاب
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 13)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِذَا لَقِیۡتُمُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا زَحۡفًا فَلَا تُوَلُّوۡہُمُ الۡاَدۡبَارَ ﴿ۚ۱۵﴾
15. O believers! When you encounter an army of disbelievers advancing for battle, do not turn your backs (in retreat) from them.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا لقيتم الذين كفروا زحفا فلا تولوهم الأدبار
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 15)
وَ مَنۡ یُّوَلِّہِمۡ یَوۡمَئِذٍ دُبُرَہٗۤ اِلَّا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِّقِتَالٍ اَوۡ مُتَحَیِّزًا اِلٰی فِئَۃٍ فَقَدۡ بَآءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ وَ مَاۡوٰىہُ جَہَنَّمُ ؕ وَ بِئۡسَ الۡمَصِیۡرُ ﴿۱۶﴾
16. And whoever turns his back (to flee) from them on such a day, unless it is a diversion in the battle or a (strategic) withdrawal to join another troop, shall certainly earn the wrath of Allah. And his refuge shall be Hell, an evil destination!
ومن يولهم يومئذ دبره إلا متحرفا لقتال أو متحيزا إلى فئة فقد باء بغضب من الله ومأواه جهنم وبئس المصير
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 16)
فَلَمۡ تَقۡتُلُوۡہُمۡ وَ لٰکِنَّ اللّٰہَ قَتَلَہُمۡ ۪ وَ مَا رَمَیۡتَ اِذۡ رَمَیۡتَ وَ لٰکِنَّ اللّٰہَ رَمٰی ۚ وَ لِیُبۡلِیَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ مِنۡہُ بَلَآءً حَسَنًا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ سَمِیۡعٌ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۱۷﴾
17. So you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And (Esteemed Prophet,) you did not throw (the handful of sand and pebbles at your enemies) when you threw (at the outset of the battle of Badr); instead, it was Allah Who threw, that He might try the believers with a beautiful trial from Himself. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
فلم تقتلوهم ولـكن الله قتلهم وما رميت إذ رميت ولـكن الله رمى وليبلي المؤمنين منه بلاء حسنا إن الله سميع عليم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 17)
اِنۡ تَسۡتَفۡتِحُوۡا فَقَدۡ جَآءَکُمُ الۡفَتۡحُ ۚ وَ اِنۡ تَنۡتَہُوۡا فَہُوَ خَیۡرٌ لَّکُمۡ ۚ وَ اِنۡ تَعُوۡدُوۡا نَعُدۡ ۚ وَ لَنۡ تُغۡنِیَ عَنۡکُمۡ فِئَتُکُمۡ شَیۡئًا وَّ لَوۡ کَثُرَتۡ ۙ وَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ ﴿٪۱۹﴾
19. (O Meccan disbelievers!) If you were seeking victory, then the (decision of) victory has already come to you. If you stop here, it would be better for you. And if you return (to fighting), We shall also return. And your troops, though greater in number, shall avail you nothing. And (know) that Allah is with the believers.
إن تستفتحوا فقد جاءكم الفتح وإن تنتهوا فهو خير لكم وإن تعودوا نعد ولن تغني عنكم فئتكم شيئا ولو كثرت وأن الله مع المؤمنين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 19)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَطِیۡعُوا اللّٰہَ وَ رَسُوۡلَہٗ وَ لَا تَوَلَّوۡا عَنۡہُ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ تَسۡمَعُوۡنَ ﴿ۚۖ۲۰﴾
20. O believers! Obey Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), and do not turn away from him while you are listening (to him).
يا أيها الذين آمنوا أطيعوا الله ورسوله ولا تولوا عنه وأنتم تسمعون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 20)
وَ لَوۡ عَلِمَ اللّٰہُ فِیۡہِمۡ خَیۡرًا لَّاَسۡمَعَہُمۡ ؕ وَ لَوۡ اَسۡمَعَہُمۡ لَتَوَلَّوۡا وَّ ہُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ ﴿۲۳﴾
23. Had Allah known any virtue in them, He would have surely made them hear. But even if He had made them hear, they would still have turned away, not taking any notice (of the truth).
ولو علم الله فيهم خيرا لأسمعهم ولو أسمعهم لتولوا وهم معرضون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 23)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوا اسۡتَجِیۡبُوۡا لِلّٰہِ وَ لِلرَّسُوۡلِ اِذَا دَعَاکُمۡ لِمَا یُحۡیِیۡکُمۡ ۚ وَ اعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یَحُوۡلُ بَیۡنَ الۡمَرۡءِ وَ قَلۡبِہٖ وَ اَنَّہٗۤ اِلَیۡہِ تُحۡشَرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۴﴾
24. O believers! Respond to (the call of) Allah and the Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) whenever he calls you to that which gives you (everlasting) life. Know that Allah intervenes between a man and (the desires of) his heart, and towards Him, you will all be gathered.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا استجيبوا لله وللرسول إذا دعاكم لما يحييكم واعلموا أن الله يحول بين المرء وقلبه وأنه إليه تحشرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 24)
وَ اتَّقُوۡا فِتۡنَۃً لَّا تُصِیۡبَنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا مِنۡکُمۡ خَآصَّۃً ۚ وَ اعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ شَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ﴿۲۵﴾
25. And guard yourselves against affliction (of temptation) which shall befall not only those among you who are wrongdoers. And know that Allah is severe in retribution.
واتقوا فتنة لا تصيبن الذين ظلموا منكم خآصة واعلموا أن الله شديد العقاب
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 25)
وَ اذۡکُرُوۡۤا اِذۡ اَنۡتُمۡ قَلِیۡلٌ مُّسۡتَضۡعَفُوۡنَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ تَخَافُوۡنَ اَنۡ یَّتَخَطَّفَکُمُ النَّاسُ فَاٰوٰىکُمۡ وَ اَیَّدَکُمۡ بِنَصۡرِہٖ وَ رَزَقَکُمۡ مِّنَ الطَّیِّبٰتِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَشۡکُرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۶﴾
26. Remember when you were few (in Mecca), oppressed in the land, constantly fearing that the (powerful) people might snatch you away, then (after the migration to Medina) He sheltered you, strengthened you with His help and provided you with the good things so that you might be grateful.
واذكروا إذ أنتم قليل مستضعفون في الأرض تخافون أن يتخطفكم الناس فآواكم وأيدكم بنصره ورزقكم من الطيبات لعلكم تشكرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 26)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَخُوۡنُوا اللّٰہَ وَ الرَّسُوۡلَ وَ تَخُوۡنُوۡۤا اَمٰنٰتِکُمۡ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۲۷﴾
27. O believers! Do not betray Allah and the Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), and do not betray your trusts knowingly.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تخونوا الله والرسول وتخونوا أماناتكم وأنتم تعلمون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 27)
وَ اعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّمَاۤ اَمۡوَالُکُمۡ وَ اَوۡلَادُکُمۡ فِتۡنَۃٌ ۙ وَّ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ عِنۡدَہٗۤ اَجۡرٌ عَظِیۡمٌ ﴿٪۲۸﴾
28. Know that your possessions and your children are only a test (and temptation) and that Allah—with Him is an excellent reward.
واعلموا أنما أموالكم وأولادكم فتنة وأن الله عنده أجر عظيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 28)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِنۡ تَتَّقُوا اللّٰہَ یَجۡعَلۡ لَّکُمۡ فُرۡقَانًا وَّ یُکَفِّرۡ عَنۡکُمۡ سَیِّاٰتِکُمۡ وَ یَغۡفِرۡ لَکُمۡ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ ذُو الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِیۡمِ ﴿۲۹﴾
29. O believers! If you become conscious of Allah, He will grant you a criterion (to distinguish between right and wrong), and He will absolve you of your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the Lord of Mighty Grace.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إن تتقوا الله يجعل لكم فرقانا ويكفر عنكم سيئاتكم ويغفر لكم والله ذو الفضل العظيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 29)
وَ اِذۡ یَمۡکُرُ بِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لِیُثۡبِتُوۡکَ اَوۡ یَقۡتُلُوۡکَ اَوۡ یُخۡرِجُوۡکَ ؕ وَ یَمۡکُرُوۡنَ وَ یَمۡکُرُ اللّٰہُ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ خَیۡرُ الۡمٰکِرِیۡنَ ﴿۳۰﴾
30. And (remember) when the disbelievers were devising plans against you to confine you, or kill you, or expel you. They plotted, and Allah foiled their plots. And Allah is the Best of planners.
وإذ يمكر بك الذين كفروا ليثبتوك أو يقتلوك أو يخرجوك ويمكرون ويمكر الله والله خير الماكرين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 30)
وَ اِذَا تُتۡلٰی عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتُنَا قَالُوۡا قَدۡ سَمِعۡنَا لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَقُلۡنَا مِثۡلَ ہٰذَاۤ ۙ اِنۡ ہٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسَاطِیۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ ﴿۳۱﴾
31. When Our revelations are recited to them, they say: ‘We have heard already. If we want, we (too) can say something similar. These are nothing but the (fictional) stories of the ancients.’
وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا قالوا قد سمعنا لو نشاء لقلنا مثل هـذا إن هـذا إلا أساطير الأولين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 31)
وَ اِذۡ قَالُوا اللّٰہُمَّ اِنۡ کَانَ ہٰذَا ہُوَ الۡحَقَّ مِنۡ عِنۡدِکَ فَاَمۡطِرۡ عَلَیۡنَا حِجَارَۃً مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اَوِ ائۡتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ اَلِیۡمٍ ﴿۳۲﴾
32. And when they said: ‘O Allah! If this is the truth from You, rain down stones upon us from the sky, or bring us a painful punishment.’
وإذ قالوا اللهم إن كان هـذا هو الحق من عندك فأمطر علينا حجارة من السماء أو ائتنا بعذاب أليم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 32)
وَ مَا کَانَ اللّٰہُ لِیُعَذِّبَہُمۡ وَ اَنۡتَ فِیۡہِمۡ ؕ وَ مَا کَانَ اللّٰہُ مُعَذِّبَہُمۡ وَ ہُمۡ یَسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡنَ ﴿۳۳﴾
33. But (Esteemed Prophet!) Allah would never punish them while you are among them, nor would Allah punish them while they seek forgiveness.
وما كان الله ليعذبهم وأنت فيهم وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 33)
وَ مَا لَہُمۡ اَلَّا یُعَذِّبَہُمُ اللّٰہُ وَ ہُمۡ یَصُدُّوۡنَ عَنِ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ وَ مَا کَانُوۡۤا اَوۡلِیَآءَہٗ ؕ اِنۡ اَوۡلِیَآؤُہٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُتَّقُوۡنَ وَ لٰکِنَّ اَکۡثَرَہُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۳۴﴾
34. What (other excuse) do they have that Allah should not punish them while they are barring (the believers) from the Sacred Mosque when they are not its (rightful) custodians? Its (rightful) custodians are only those who are God-conscious. But most of them do not know.
وما لهم ألا يعذبهم الله وهم يصدون عن المسجد الحرام وما كانوا أولياءه إن أوليآؤه إلا المتقون ولـكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 34)
وَ مَا کَانَ صَلَاتُہُمۡ عِنۡدَ الۡبَیۡتِ اِلَّا مُکَآءً وَّ تَصۡدِیَۃً ؕ فَذُوۡقُوا الۡعَذَابَ بِمَا کُنۡتُمۡ تَکۡفُرُوۡنَ ﴿۳۵﴾
35. Their prayer at the (Sacred) House is only whistling and clapping. So, taste the punishment for what you used to disbelieve in.
وما كان صلاتهم عند البيت إلا مكاء وتصدية فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكفرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 35)
اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَہُمۡ لِیَصُدُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ؕ فَسَیُنۡفِقُوۡنَہَا ثُمَّ تَکُوۡنُ عَلَیۡہِمۡ حَسۡرَۃً ثُمَّ یُغۡلَبُوۡنَ ۬ؕ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡۤا اِلٰی جَہَنَّمَ یُحۡشَرُوۡنَ ﴿ۙ۳۶﴾
36. Indeed, those who disbelieve, spend their wealth to hinder (people) from the way of Allah. And they will keep on spending it; then it will be a source of regret for them, then they shall be overcome. And the disbelievers shall be gathered towards Hell,
إن الذين كفروا ينفقون أموالهم ليصدوا عن سبيل الله فسينفقونها ثم تكون عليهم حسرة ثم يغلبون والذين كفروا إلى جهنم يحشرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 36)
لِیَمِیۡزَ اللّٰہُ الۡخَبِیۡثَ مِنَ الطَّیِّبِ وَ یَجۡعَلَ الۡخَبِیۡثَ بَعۡضَہٗ عَلٰی بَعۡضٍ فَیَرۡکُمَہٗ جَمِیۡعًا فَیَجۡعَلَہٗ فِیۡ جَہَنَّمَ ؕ اُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡخٰسِرُوۡنَ ﴿٪۳۷﴾
37. so that Allah may separate the evil from the good, and make the evil (dominating) one upon another, then pile them up altogether, and place them in Hell. It is they who are the losers.
ليميز الله الخبيث من الطيب ويجعل الخبيث بعضه على بعض فيركمه جميعا فيجعله في جهنم أولـئك هم الخاسرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 37)
قُلۡ لِّلَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡۤا اِنۡ یَّنۡتَہُوۡا یُغۡفَرۡ لَہُمۡ مَّا قَدۡ سَلَفَ ۚ وَ اِنۡ یَّعُوۡدُوۡا فَقَدۡ مَضَتۡ سُنَّتُ الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ ﴿۳۸﴾
38. Say to the disbelievers: ‘If they stop (their transgression), what has already passed shall be forgiven for them. But if they repeat the same, then the precedent of the ancients has already passed (before them).’
قل للذين كفروا إن ينتهوا يغفر لهم ما قد سلف وإن يعودوا فقد مضت سنت الأولين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 38)
وَ قَاتِلُوۡہُمۡ حَتّٰی لَا تَکُوۡنَ فِتۡنَۃٌ وَّ یَکُوۡنَ الدِّیۡنُ کُلُّہٗ لِلّٰہِ ۚ فَاِنِ انۡتَہَوۡا فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ بِمَا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِیۡرٌ ﴿۳۹﴾
39. And fight them (against their aggression) until there is no more persecution and the religion becomes totally (free) in compliance with Allah’s command (of peace and justice). And if they abstain (from causing terror and disorder), then Allah is indeed All-Seeing of whatever they do.
وقاتلوهم حتى لا تكون فتنة ويكون الدين كله لله فإن انتهوا فإن الله بما يعملون بصير
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 39)
وَ اِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَاعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ مَوۡلٰىکُمۡ ؕ نِعۡمَ الۡمَوۡلٰی وَ نِعۡمَ النَّصِیۡرُ ﴿۴۰﴾
40. And if they turn away (from complying with Allah’s command), then know that Allah is your Protector—an Excellent Protector and an Excellent Helper!
وإن تولوا فاعلموا أن الله مولاكم نعم المولى ونعم النصير
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 40)
وَ اعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّمَا غَنِمۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ شَیۡءٍ فَاَنَّ لِلّٰہِ خُمُسَہٗ وَ لِلرَّسُوۡلِ وَ لِذِی الۡقُرۡبٰی وَ الۡیَتٰمٰی وَ الۡمَسٰکِیۡنِ وَ ابۡنِ السَّبِیۡلِ ۙ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ بِاللّٰہِ وَ مَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلٰی عَبۡدِنَا یَوۡمَ الۡفُرۡقَانِ یَوۡمَ الۡتَقَی الۡجَمۡعٰنِ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرٌ ﴿۴۱﴾
41. And know that whatever you take (legitimately) as spoils of war, a fifth of it is for Allah and the Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), and (his) close relatives, the orphans, the needy and the travellers if you believe in Allah and what We sent down to Our (exalted) Servant on the Day of Distinction, the day when the two armies encountered (each other on the battlefield of Badr). And Allah is All-Capable of everything.
واعلموا أنما غنمتم من شيء فأن لله خمسه وللرسول ولذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين وابن السبيل إن كنتم آمنتم بالله وما أنزلنا على عبدنا يوم الفرقان يوم التقى الجمعان والله على كل شيء قدير
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 41)
اِذۡ اَنۡتُمۡ بِالۡعُدۡوَۃِ الدُّنۡیَا وَ ہُمۡ بِالۡعُدۡوَۃِ الۡقُصۡوٰی وَ الرَّکۡبُ اَسۡفَلَ مِنۡکُمۡ ؕ وَ لَوۡ تَوَاعَدۡتُّمۡ لَاخۡتَلَفۡتُمۡ فِی الۡمِیۡعٰدِ ۙ وَ لٰکِنۡ لِّیَقۡضِیَ اللّٰہُ اَمۡرًا کَانَ مَفۡعُوۡلًا ۬ۙ لِّیَہۡلِکَ مَنۡ ہَلَکَ عَنۡۢ بَیِّنَۃٍ وَّ یَحۡیٰی مَنۡ حَیَّ عَنۡۢ بَیِّنَۃٍ ؕ وَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَسَمِیۡعٌ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿ۙ۴۲﴾
42. And (remember) when you were on the nearer bank (of the valley towards Medina), and they (i.e. the army of the Meccans) were on the farther bank (of the valley), and the (mercantile) caravan (of Abu Sufyan) was in a lower place than you. Had you mutually made an appointment (to fight), you would have surely reached there at different times (but Allah coincided your encounter)—so that Allah might conclude a matter which was bound to be fulfilled, (and) that whoever perishes should perish with clear evidence, and whoever survives should survive with clear evidence. And Allah is indeed All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
إذ أنتم بالعدوة الدنيا وهم بالعدوة القصوى والركب أسفل منكم ولو تواعدتم لاختلفتم في الميعاد ولـكن ليقضي الله أمرا كان مفعولا ليهلك من هلك عن بينة ويحيى من حي عن بينة وإن الله لسميع عليم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 42)
اِذۡ یُرِیۡکَہُمُ اللّٰہُ فِیۡ مَنَامِکَ قَلِیۡلًا ؕ وَ لَوۡ اَرٰىکَہُمۡ کَثِیۡرًا لَّفَشِلۡتُمۡ وَ لَتَنَازَعۡتُمۡ فِی الۡاَمۡرِ وَ لٰکِنَّ اللّٰہَ سَلَّمَ ؕ اِنَّہٗ عَلِیۡمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ ﴿۴۳﴾
43. And (remember) when Allah showed them (i.e. the enemy troops) to you in your dream as being few. Had He shown them to you as being many, you would have surely lost hope and disputed about the matter (of war), but Allah saved (you from being disheartened). Indeed, He is the All-Knowing of what is in the breasts.
إذ يريكهم الله في منامك قليلا ولو أراكهم كثيرا لفشلتم ولتنازعتم في الأمر ولـكن الله سلم إنه عليم بذات الصدور
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 43)
وَ اِذۡ یُرِیۡکُمُوۡہُمۡ اِذِ الۡتَقَیۡتُمۡ فِیۡۤ اَعۡیُنِکُمۡ قَلِیۡلًا وَّ یُقَلِّلُکُمۡ فِیۡۤ اَعۡیُنِہِمۡ لِیَقۡضِیَ اللّٰہُ اَمۡرًا کَانَ مَفۡعُوۡلًا ؕ وَ اِلَی اللّٰہِ تُرۡجَعُ الۡاُمُوۡرُ ﴿٪۴۴﴾
44. And (also remember) when He made them appear to you, at the time of your encounter, to be few in your eyes, and He made you appear to be few in their eyes, so that Allah may conclude a matter that was bound to be done. And to Allah, all matters are returned.
وإذ يريكموهم إذ التقيتم في أعينكم قليلا ويقللكم في أعينهم ليقضي الله أمرا كان مفعولا وإلى الله ترجع الأمور
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 44)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِذَا لَقِیۡتُمۡ فِئَۃً فَاثۡبُتُوۡا وَ اذۡکُرُوا اللّٰہَ کَثِیۡرًا لَّعَلَّکُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ﴿ۚ۴۵﴾
45. O believers! When you face a troop (in battle), stand firm and remember Allah frequently so that you may prosper.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا لقيتم فئة فاثبتوا واذكروا الله كثيرا لعلكم تفلحون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 45)
وَ اَطِیۡعُوا اللّٰہَ وَ رَسُوۡلَہٗ وَ لَا تَنَازَعُوۡا فَتَفۡشَلُوۡا وَ تَذۡہَبَ رِیۡحُکُمۡ وَ اصۡبِرُوۡا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِیۡنَ ﴿ۚ۴۶﴾
46. And obey Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), and do not dispute (among yourselves), for then you will lose heart, and your power will be gone. And be patient; indeed, Allah is with the patient.
وأطيعوا الله ورسوله ولا تنازعوا فتفشلوا وتذهب ريحكم واصبروا إن الله مع الصابرين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 46)
وَ لَا تَکُوۡنُوۡا کَالَّذِیۡنَ خَرَجُوۡا مِنۡ دِیَارِہِمۡ بَطَرًا وَّ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ وَ یَصُدُّوۡنَ عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ بِمَا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ مُحِیۡطٌ ﴿۴۷﴾
47. And be not like those (pagans) who left their homes boastfully, only to be seen by people and to bar (other people) from Allah’s path. And Allah comprehends whatever they do.
ولا تكونوا كالذين خرجوا من ديارهم بطرا ورئاء الناس ويصدون عن سبيل الله والله بما يعملون محيط
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 47)
وَ اِذۡ زَیَّنَ لَہُمُ الشَّیۡطٰنُ اَعۡمَالَہُمۡ وَ قَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَکُمُ الۡیَوۡمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَ اِنِّیۡ جَارٌ لَّکُمۡ ۚ فَلَمَّا تَرَآءَتِ الۡفِئَتٰنِ نَکَصَ عَلٰی عَقِبَیۡہِ وَ قَالَ اِنِّیۡ بَرِیۡٓءٌ مِّنۡکُمۡ اِنِّیۡۤ اَرٰی مَا لَا تَرَوۡنَ اِنِّیۡۤ اَخَافُ اللّٰہَ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ شَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ﴿٪۴۸﴾
48. And (remember) when Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them and said: ‘No one among humankind shall overcome you today, and I am indeed your protector.’ But when the two troops saw each other, he withdrew upon his heels, saying: ‘Indeed I disown you. Surely, I see what you do not see. Truly, I fear Allah, and Allah is Severe in retribution.’
وإذ زين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم وقال لا غالب لكم اليوم من الناس وإني جار لكم فلما تراءت الفئتان نكص على عقبيه وقال إني بريء منكم إني أرى ما لا ترون إني أخاف الله والله شديد العقاب
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 48)
اِذۡ یَقُوۡلُ الۡمُنٰفِقُوۡنَ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ فِیۡ قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ مَّرَضٌ غَرَّہٰۤؤُ لَآءِ دِیۡنُہُمۡ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یَّتَوَکَّلۡ عَلَی اللّٰہِ فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَزِیۡزٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿۴۹﴾
49. And (remember) when the hypocrites and those possessing sickness in their hearts said: ‘Their Religion has deceived them.’ But whoever trusts in Allah, Allah is indeed All-Mighty, All-Wise.
إذ يقول المنافقون والذين في قلوبهم مرض غر هـؤلاء دينهم ومن يتوكل على الله فإن الله عزيز حكيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 49)
وَ لَوۡ تَرٰۤی اِذۡ یَتَوَفَّی الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوا ۙ الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃُ یَضۡرِبُوۡنَ وُجُوۡہَہُمۡ وَ اَدۡبَارَہُمۡ ۚ وَ ذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابَ الۡحَرِیۡقِ ﴿۵۰﴾
50. If only you could see when the angels take away the souls of the disbelievers, striking their faces and their backs, saying: ‘Taste the punishment of the burning (of Hell).
ولو ترى إذ يتوفى الذين كفروا الملآئكة يضربون وجوههم وأدبارهم وذوقوا عذاب الحريق
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 50)
کَدَاۡبِ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ۙ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ ؕ کَفَرُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰہِ فَاَخَذَہُمُ اللّٰہُ بِذُنُوۡبِہِمۡ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ قَوِیٌّ شَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ﴿۵۲﴾
52. (They are) like the people of Pharaoh and those before them, who denied Allah’s signs. So Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is Strong (and) Severe in retribution.
كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كفروا بآيات الله فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم إن الله قوي شديد العقاب
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 52)
ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰہَ لَمۡ یَکُ مُغَیِّرًا نِّعۡمَۃً اَنۡعَمَہَا عَلٰی قَوۡمٍ حَتّٰی یُغَیِّرُوۡا مَا بِاَنۡفُسِہِمۡ ۙ وَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ سَمِیۡعٌ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿ۙ۵۳﴾
53. That is because Allah never changes a blessing that He has bestowed upon a people unless they change their condition by themselves. And Allah is indeed All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
ذلك بأن الله لم يك مغيرا نعمة أنعمها على قوم حتى يغيروا ما بأنفسهم وأن الله سميع عليم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 53)
کَدَاۡبِ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ۙ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ ؕ کَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِ رَبِّہِمۡ فَاَہۡلَکۡنٰہُمۡ بِذُنُوۡبِہِمۡ وَ اَغۡرَقۡنَاۤ اٰلَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ۚ وَ کُلٌّ کَانُوۡا ظٰلِمِیۡنَ ﴿۵۴﴾
54. (It is) like the people of Pharaoh and those before them, who rejected the signs of their Lord; so We destroyed them for their sins. And We drowned the people of Pharaoh, for they were all wrongdoers.
كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كذبوا بآيات ربهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم وأغرقنا آل فرعون وكل كانوا ظالمين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 54)
اَلَّذِیۡنَ عٰہَدۡتَّ مِنۡہُمۡ ثُمَّ یَنۡقُضُوۡنَ عَہۡدَہُمۡ فِیۡ کُلِّ مَرَّۃٍ وَّ ہُمۡ لَا یَتَّقُوۡنَ ﴿۵۶﴾
56. (they are) those among them (i.e. the tribes of al-Nadir and Qurayza) with whom you entered into treaties (for mutual peace and state security), but they violated their treaties every time,* and who do not guard themselves (against evil).
* The tribes of al-Nadir and Qurayza had violated their peace treaties by supporting the Meccan armies during their invasions of Medina and by providing them arms, ammunition and strategic information. It was an act of high treason against the state—as agreed upon in the constitution, mutually signed by all Muslims and Jewish tribes in the form of the ‘Pact of Medina’.
الذين عاهدت منهم ثم ينقضون عهدهم في كل مرة وهم لا يتقون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 56)
فَاِمَّا تَثۡقَفَنَّہُمۡ فِی الۡحَرۡبِ فَشَرِّدۡ بِہِمۡ مَّنۡ خَلۡفَہُمۡ لَعَلَّہُمۡ یَذَّکَّرُوۡنَ ﴿۵۷﴾
57. So if you confront them in battle, deal with them (in such a way) as to scatter those who are (to come) behind them; perhaps they may receive a warning.
فإما تثقفنهم في الحرب فشرد بهم من خلفهم لعلهم يذكرون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 57)
وَ اِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنۡ قَوۡمٍ خِیَانَۃً فَانۡۢبِذۡ اِلَیۡہِمۡ عَلٰی سَوَآءٍ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَا یُحِبُّ الۡخَآئِنِیۡنَ ﴿٪۵۸﴾
58. If you apprehend treachery from a people, throw back to them (their treaty) on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like the treacherous.
وإما تخافن من قوم خيانة فانبذ إليهم على سواء إن الله لا يحب الخائنين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 58)
وَ اَعِدُّوۡا لَہُمۡ مَّا اسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ قُوَّۃٍ وَّ مِنۡ رِّبَاطِ الۡخَیۡلِ تُرۡہِبُوۡنَ بِہٖ عَدُوَّ اللّٰہِ وَ عَدُوَّکُمۡ وَ اٰخَرِیۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِہِمۡ ۚ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَہُمۡ ۚ اَللّٰہُ یَعۡلَمُہُمۡ ؕ وَ مَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ یُوَفَّ اِلَیۡکُمۡ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ لَا تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۶۰﴾
60. And prepare against them whatever (human resources and economic and military) strength you can, and warhorses, to frighten thereby the enemy of Allah, and your enemy and others besides them (from attacking you), whom you do not know but Allah knows them. And whatever you spend (for your defence) in the way of Allah will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged.
وأعدوا لهم ما استطعتم من قوة ومن رباط الخيل ترهبون به عدو الله وعدوكم وآخرين من دونهم لا تعلمونهم الله يعلمهم وما تنفقوا من شيء في سبيل الله يوف إليكم وأنتم لا تظلمون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 60)
وَ اِنۡ جَنَحُوۡا لِلسَّلۡمِ فَاجۡنَحۡ لَہَا وَ تَوَکَّلۡ عَلَی اللّٰہِ ؕ اِنَّہٗ ہُوَ السَّمِیۡعُ الۡعَلِیۡمُ ﴿۶۱﴾
61. If they (i.e. the combatant enemies) incline towards peace, you should also incline towards it and put your trust in Allah. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
وإن جنحوا للسلم فاجنح لها وتوكل على الله إنه هو السميع العليم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 61)
وَ اِنۡ یُّرِیۡدُوۡۤا اَنۡ یَّخۡدَعُوۡکَ فَاِنَّ حَسۡبَکَ اللّٰہُ ؕ ہُوَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَیَّدَکَ بِنَصۡرِہٖ وَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۶۲﴾
62. And if they intend to deceive you, Allah is surely enough for you. He is the One Who strengthens you (directly) through His help and through the believers (who follow you).
وإن يريدوا أن يخدعوك فإن حسبك الله هو الذي أيدك بنصره وبالمؤمنين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 62)
وَ اَلَّفَ بَیۡنَ قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ ؕ لَوۡ اَنۡفَقۡتَ مَا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِیۡعًا مَّاۤ اَلَّفۡتَ بَیۡنَ قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ وَ لٰکِنَّ اللّٰہَ اَلَّفَ بَیۡنَہُمۡ ؕ اِنَّہٗ عَزِیۡزٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿۶۳﴾
63. And He united their hearts (in mutual compassion). Had you spent all that is on the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah has united them (despite their long history of conflicts and hostilities). Allah is indeed All-Mighty, All-Wise.
وألف بين قلوبهم لو أنفقت ما في الأرض جميعا ما ألفت بين قلوبهم ولـكن الله ألف بينهم إنه عزيز حكيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 63)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّبِیُّ حَرِّضِ الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ عَلَی الۡقِتَالِ ؕ اِنۡ یَّکُنۡ مِّنۡکُمۡ عِشۡرُوۡنَ صٰبِرُوۡنَ یَغۡلِبُوۡا مِائَتَیۡنِ ۚ وَ اِنۡ یَّکُنۡ مِّنۡکُمۡ مِّائَۃٌ یَّغۡلِبُوۡۤا اَلۡفًا مِّنَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا بِاَنَّہُمۡ قَوۡمٌ لَّا یَفۡقَہُوۡنَ ﴿۶۵﴾
65. O (Esteemed) Prophet! Urge the believers to fight (in self-defence). If there be twenty steadfast among you (in the event of war), they shall overcome two hundred (combatant enemies). And if there be one hundred of you, they shall overcome one thousand (combatant enemies) from among the disbelievers because they are a people who do not understand.
يا أيها النبي حرض المؤمنين على القتال إن يكن منكم عشرون صابرون يغلبوا مئتين وإن يكن منكم مئة يغلبوا ألفا من الذين كفروا بأنهم قوم لا يفقهون
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 65)
اَلۡـٰٔنَ خَفَّفَ اللّٰہُ عَنۡکُمۡ وَ عَلِمَ اَنَّ فِیۡکُمۡ ضَعۡفًا ؕ فَاِنۡ یَّکُنۡ مِّنۡکُمۡ مِّائَۃٌ صَابِرَۃٌ یَّغۡلِبُوۡا مِائَتَیۡنِ ۚ وَ اِنۡ یَّکُنۡ مِّنۡکُمۡ اَلۡفٌ یَّغۡلِبُوۡۤا اَلۡفَیۡنِ بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰہِ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِیۡنَ ﴿۶۶﴾
66. Now Allah has lightened your burden, for He knows that there is (some degree of) weakness in you. So, if there are one hundred steadfast among you, they shall overcome two hundred (combatant enemies). And if there are one thousand (steadfast) among you, they shall overcome two thousand (combatant enemies) by Allah’s permission. And Allah is with the steadfast.
الآن خفف الله عنكم وعلم أن فيكم ضعفا فإن يكن منكم مئة صابرة يغلبوا مئتين وإن يكن منكم ألف يغلبوا ألفين بإذن الله والله مع الصابرين
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 66)
مَا کَانَ لِنَبِیٍّ اَنۡ یَّکُوۡنَ لَہٗۤ اَسۡرٰی حَتّٰی یُثۡخِنَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ تُرِیۡدُوۡنَ عَرَضَ الدُّنۡیَا ٭ۖ وَ اللّٰہُ یُرِیۡدُ الۡاٰخِرَۃَ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَزِیۡزٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿۶۷﴾
67. It is not for a prophet to take prisoners of war until he has completely conquered the battlefield. (O people!) You desire the (temporary and lower) gains of this world, while Allah desires (for you the permanent and superior reward of) the Hereafter. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
ما كان لنبي أن يكون له أسرى حتى يثخن في الأرض تريدون عرض الدنيا والله يريد الآخرة والله عزيز حكيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 67)
لَوۡ لَا کِتٰبٌ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّکُمۡ فِیۡمَاۤ اَخَذۡتُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِیۡمٌ ﴿۶۸﴾
68. Had it not been a prior decree (of forgiveness) from Allah, a severe torment would have come upon you for what you had taken (as spoils from the battle or the ransom of prisoners).
لولا كتاب من الله سبق لمسكم فيما أخذتم عذاب عظيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 68)
فَکُلُوۡا مِمَّا غَنِمۡتُمۡ حَلٰلًا طَیِّبًا ۫ۖ وَّ اتَّقُوا اللّٰہَ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِیۡمٌ ﴿٪۶۹﴾
69. So (from now on), consume the spoils you have acquired, for they are lawful and fine. And be conscious of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Most-Forgiving, All-Merciful.
فكلوا مما غنمتم حلالا طيبا واتقوا الله إن الله غفور رحيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 69)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّبِیُّ قُلۡ لِّمَنۡ فِیۡۤ اَیۡدِیۡکُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَسۡرٰۤی ۙ اِنۡ یَّعۡلَمِ اللّٰہُ فِیۡ قُلُوۡبِکُمۡ خَیۡرًا یُّؤۡتِکُمۡ خَیۡرًا مِّمَّاۤ اُخِذَ مِنۡکُمۡ وَ یَغۡفِرۡ لَکُمۡ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِیۡمٌ ﴿۷۰﴾
70. O (Esteemed) Prophet! Say to those prisoners (of war) in your custody: ‘If Allah finds any goodness in your heart, He will give you (something) better than what was taken away from you. And He will forgive you, and Allah is Most-Forgiving, All-Merciful.’
يا أيها النبي قل لمن في أيديكم من الأسرى إن يعلم الله في قلوبكم خيرا يؤتكم خيرا مما أخذ منكم ويغفر لكم والله غفور رحيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 70)
وَ اِنۡ یُّرِیۡدُوۡا خِیَانَتَکَ فَقَدۡ خَانُوا اللّٰہَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ فَاَمۡکَنَ مِنۡہُمۡ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَلِیۡمٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿۷۱﴾
71. And (Esteemed Prophet,) if they intend treachery against you, they have been treacherous with Allah before. But He has granted (you) power over them, and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
وإن يريدوا خيانتك فقد خانوا الله من قبل فأمكن منهم والله عليم حكيم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 71)
اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ ہَاجَرُوۡا وَ جٰہَدُوۡا بِاَمۡوَالِہِمۡ وَ اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰوَوۡا وَّ نَصَرُوۡۤا اُولٰٓئِکَ بَعۡضُہُمۡ اَوۡلِیَآءُ بَعۡضٍ ؕ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ لَمۡ یُہَاجِرُوۡا مَا لَکُمۡ مِّنۡ وَّلَایَتِہِمۡ مِّنۡ شَیۡءٍ حَتّٰی یُہَاجِرُوۡا ۚ وَ اِنِ اسۡتَنۡصَرُوۡکُمۡ فِی الدِّیۡنِ فَعَلَیۡکُمُ النَّصۡرُ اِلَّا عَلٰی قَوۡمٍۭ بَیۡنَکُمۡ وَ بَیۡنَہُمۡ مِّیۡثَاقٌ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِیۡرٌ ﴿۷۲﴾
72. Indeed, those who believed, and migrated (to Medina), and strived with their possessions and their lives in the way of Allah, and those who sheltered and helped (them)—it is they who are guardians of one another. As for those who believed but did not migrate (for Allah), you have no obligation regarding their protection until they emigrate. Yet if they seek your help (against persecution) because of (their) religion, then helping them is your obligation, except against those people with whom you have a treaty (of non-interference). And Allah is All-Seeing of whatever you do.
إن الذين آمنوا وهاجروا وجاهدوا بأموالهم وأنفسهم في سبيل الله والذين آووا ونصروا أولـئك بعضهم أولياء بعض والذين آمنوا ولم يهاجروا ما لكم من ولايتهم من شيء حتى يهاجروا وإن استنصروكم في الدين فعليكم النصر إلا على قوم بينكم وبينهم ميثاق والله بما تعملون بصير
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 72)
وَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا بَعۡضُہُمۡ اَوۡلِیَآءُ بَعۡضٍ ؕ اِلَّا تَفۡعَلُوۡہُ تَکُنۡ فِتۡنَۃٌ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ وَ فَسَادٌ کَبِیۡرٌ ﴿ؕ۷۳﴾
73. As for the disbelievers, they are allies (and supporters) of one another. (O believers!) If you do not do the same (by becoming allies and supporters of one another), there will be (endless) persecution on the earth and great corruption.
والذين كفروا بعضهم أولياء بعض إلا تفعلوه تكن فتنة في الأرض وفساد كبير
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 73)
وَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ ہَاجَرُوۡا وَ جٰہَدُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰوَوۡا وَّ نَصَرُوۡۤا اُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ حَقًّا ؕ لَہُمۡ مَّغۡفِرَۃٌ وَّ رِزۡقٌ کَرِیۡمٌ ﴿۷۴﴾
74. As for those who believed, emigrated and struggled hard in the way of Allah, and those who provided (them) shelter and help, they are the ones who are the true believers. For them shall be forgiveness and a generous provision.
والذين آمنوا وهاجروا وجاهدوا في سبيل الله والذين آووا ونصروا أولـئك هم المؤمنون حقا لهم مغفرة ورزق كريم
(الْأَنْفَال، 8 : 74)
وَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ وَ ہَاجَرُوۡا وَ جٰہَدُوۡا مَعَکُمۡ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ مِنۡکُمۡ ؕ وَ اُولُوا الۡاَرۡحَامِ بَعۡضُہُمۡ اَوۡلٰی بِبَعۡضٍ فِیۡ کِتٰبِ اللّٰہِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ بِکُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیۡمٌ ﴿٪۷۵﴾
