In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the All-Merciful
یَوۡمَ تَرَوۡنَہَا تَذۡہَلُ کُلُّ مُرۡضِعَۃٍ عَمَّاۤ اَرۡضَعَتۡ وَ تَضَعُ کُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمۡلٍ حَمۡلَہَا وَ تَرَی النَّاسَ سُکٰرٰی وَ مَا ہُمۡ بِسُکٰرٰی وَ لٰکِنَّ عَذَابَ اللّٰہِ شَدِیۡدٌ ﴿۲﴾
2. On the Day you see it, every breastfeeding mother will think no more of (her baby) that she was suckling. And every pregnant woman will miscarry her burden. And you will think people are drunk, though they will not be drunk. But Allah’s punishment will be that severe.
يوم ترونها تذهل كل مرضعة عما أرضعت وتضع كل ذات حمل حملها وترى الناس سكارى وما هم بسكارى ولكن عذاب الله شديد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 2)
وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنۡ یُّجَادِلُ فِی اللّٰہِ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمٍ وَّ یَتَّبِعُ کُلَّ شَیۡطٰنٍ مَّرِیۡدٍ ۙ﴿۳﴾
3. And among the people are those who dispute regarding Allah without any knowledge and who follow every rebellious Satan,
ومن الناس من يجادل في الله بغير علم ويتبع كل شيطان مريد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 3)
کُتِبَ عَلَیۡہِ اَنَّہٗ مَنۡ تَوَلَّاہُ فَاَنَّہٗ یُضِلُّہٗ وَ یَہۡدِیۡہِ اِلٰی عَذَابِ السَّعِیۡرِ ﴿۴﴾
4. for whom it has been decreed that whoever takes him for a friend, he shall lead him astray and conduct him towards the punishment of the Blaze.
كتب عليه أنه من تولاه فأنه يضله ويهديه إلى عذاب السعير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 4)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ فِیۡ رَیۡبٍ مِّنَ الۡبَعۡثِ فَاِنَّا خَلَقۡنٰکُمۡ مِّنۡ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ نُّطۡفَۃٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَۃٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ مُّضۡغَۃٍ مُّخَلَّقَۃٍ وَّ غَیۡرِ مُخَلَّقَۃٍ لِّنُبَیِّنَ لَکُمۡ ؕ وَ نُقِرُّ فِی الۡاَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ اِلٰۤی اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّی ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُکُمۡ طِفۡلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوۡۤا اَشُدَّکُمۡ ۚ وَ مِنۡکُمۡ مَّنۡ یُّتَوَفّٰی وَ مِنۡکُمۡ مَّنۡ یُّرَدُّ اِلٰۤی اَرۡذَلِ الۡعُمُرِ لِکَیۡلَا یَعۡلَمَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمٍ شَیۡئًا ؕ وَ تَرَی الۡاَرۡضَ ہَامِدَۃً فَاِذَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡہَا الۡمَآءَ اہۡتَزَّتۡ وَ رَبَتۡ وَ اَنۡۢبَتَتۡ مِنۡ کُلِّ زَوۡجٍۭ بَہِیۡجٍ ﴿۵﴾
5. O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then (remember that) We (initially) created you from dust (i.e. your chemical genesis was from the extract of clay).* Then (your biological genesis was) from a fertilised egg (i.e. a zygote**). Then, from a clinging mass (i.e. an embryo).*** And then from a lump of flesh looking chewed (i.e. the foetus in the early stages of its development), partly shaped and partly unshaped (having some parts recognisable and others unrecognisable), so that We may manifest (Our power) to you. And We cause whom We are pleased to stay in the wombs till a specified term. Then We bring you out as an infant. Then (We rear you) so that you may attain maturity. And among you, some are caused to die (before old age). And among you, some are brought back to the most senile age so that he knows nothing after (having possessed) some knowledge. Likewise, you see the earth completely sterile (appearing lifeless), yet when We shower water upon it, it stirs (with freshness), swells (with fertility) and produces all kinds of beautiful pairs of plants.
* Dust comprises minerals, metals, salts and other chemical elements such as calcium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, silicon, chlorine, iodine, fluorine, magnesium, zinc, sulphur, iron, etc. These and other clay elements also form a balanced diet essential for nourishment. The animals whose meat and milk we consume graze upon vegetation. The grains, vegetables and fruits that constitute our diet benefit from the soil they grow in and absorb all its chemicals.
** In Arabic, the word ‘al-nutfa’ is mentioned, and it refers to a zygote, which is a mixture of male and female gametes. It is the new single cell formed after the union of a sperm and ovum.
*** The word ‘alaqa’ in this verse describes the human embryo from days 7–24, which clings to the endometrium of the uterus in the same way that a leech clings to the skin. Just as the leech derives blood from the host, the human embryo derives blood from the decidua or pregnant endometrium. It is remarkable how much the embryo of 23–24 days resembles a leech. No microscopes were available in the 7th century, so none would have known that the human embryo at this stage was clinging to the endometrium and had a leech-like appearance.
يا أيها الناس إن كنتم في ريب من البعث فإنا خلقناكم من تراب ثم من نطفة ثم من علقة ثم من مضغة مخلقة وغير مخلقة لنبين لكم ونقر في الأرحام ما نشاء إلى أجل مسمى ثم نخرجكم طفلا ثم لتبلغوا أشدكم ومنكم من يتوفى ومنكم من يرد إلى أرذل العمر لكيلا يعلم من بعد علم شيئا وترى الأرض هامدة فإذا أنزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت وأنبتت من كل زوج بهيج
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 5)
ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰہَ ہُوَ الۡحَقُّ وَ اَنَّہٗ یُحۡیِ الۡمَوۡتٰی وَ اَنَّہٗ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرٌ ۙ﴿۶﴾
6. That is because Allah is the Absolute Reality. And it is He Who gives life to the dead, and He is All-Capable of everything.
ذلك بأن الله هو الحق وأنه يحيي الموتى وأنه على كل شيء قدير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 6)
ثَانِیَ عِطۡفِہٖ لِیُضِلَّ عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ؕ لَہٗ فِی الدُّنۡیَا خِزۡیٌ وَّ نُذِیۡقُہٗ یَوۡمَ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ عَذَابَ الۡحَرِیۡقِ ﴿۹﴾
9. turning aside to lead (others) astray from Allah’s way. For such, there is disgrace in this world. And on the Day of Resurrection, We shall make him taste the punishment of the burning.
ثاني عطفه ليضل عن سبيل الله له في الدنيا خزي ونذيقه يوم القيامة عذاب الحريق
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 9)
وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنۡ یَّعۡبُدُ اللّٰہَ عَلٰی حَرۡفٍ ۚ فَاِنۡ اَصَابَہٗ خَیۡرُۨ اطۡمَاَنَّ بِہٖ ۚ وَ اِنۡ اَصَابَتۡہُ فِتۡنَۃُۨ انۡقَلَبَ عَلٰی وَجۡہِہٖ ۟ۚ خَسِرَ الدُّنۡیَا وَ الۡاٰخِرَۃَ ؕ ذٰلِکَ ہُوَ الۡخُسۡرَانُ الۡمُبِیۡنُ ﴿۱۱﴾
11. And among the people are those who worship Allah upon the edge (of faith): if good fortune befalls him, he is content with it; but if a trial afflicts him, he turns back (entirely). He loses this world and the Hereafter. That is indeed the manifest loss.
ومن الناس من يعبد الله على حرف فإن أصابه خير اطمأن به وإن أصابته فتنة انقلب على وجهه خسر الدنيا والآخرة ذلك هو الخسران المبين
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 11)
یَدۡعُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ مَا لَا یَضُرُّہٗ وَ مَا لَا یَنۡفَعُہٗ ؕ ذٰلِکَ ہُوَ الضَّلٰلُ الۡبَعِیۡدُ ﴿ۚ۱۲﴾
12. He worships besides Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. Indeed, that is the farthest error.
يدعوا من دون الله ما لا يضره وما لا ينفعه ذلك هو الضلال البعيد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 12)
اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یُدۡخِلُ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِیۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِہَا الۡاَنۡہٰرُ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَفۡعَلُ مَا یُرِیۡدُ ﴿۱۴﴾
14. Allah will surely admit those who believe and perform righteous deeds into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath them. Certainly, Allah does whatever He wills.
إن الله يدخل الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار إن الله يفعل ما يريد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 14)
مَنۡ کَانَ یَظُنُّ اَنۡ لَّنۡ یَّنۡصُرَہُ اللّٰہُ فِی الدُّنۡیَا وَ الۡاٰخِرَۃِ فَلۡیَمۡدُدۡ بِسَبَبٍ اِلَی السَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لۡیَقۡطَعۡ فَلۡیَنۡظُرۡ ہَلۡ یُذۡہِبَنَّ کَیۡدُہٗ مَا یَغِیۡظُ ﴿۱۵﴾
15. Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him (i.e. the Esteemed Prophet) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch a rope to the ceiling and then hang himself. And let him see if his scheme does away with (the cause of) his rage.
من كان يظن أن لن ينصره الله في الدنيا والآخرة فليمدد بسبب إلى السماء ثم ليقطع فلينظر هل يذهبن كيده ما يغيظ
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 15)
اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ الَّذِیۡنَ ہَادُوۡا وَ الصّٰبِئِیۡنَ وَ النَّصٰرٰی وَ الۡمَجُوۡسَ وَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَشۡرَکُوۡۤا ٭ۖ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَفۡصِلُ بَیۡنَہُمۡ یَوۡمَ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ شَہِیۡدٌ ﴿۱۷﴾
17. Indeed, the believers, the Jews, the Sabaeans, the Christians, the Magians (or Zoroastrians) and the idolaters—Allah will indeed judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Surely Allah is witness over all things.
إن الذين آمنوا والذين هادوا والصابئين والنصارى والمجوس والذين أشركوا إن الله يفصل بينهم يوم القيامة إن الله على كل شيء شهيد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 17)
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یَسۡجُدُ لَہٗ مَنۡ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَنۡ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ وَ الشَّمۡسُ وَ الۡقَمَرُ وَ النُّجُوۡمُ وَ الۡجِبَالُ وَ الشَّجَرُ وَ الدَّوَآبُّ وَ کَثِیۡرٌ مِّنَ النَّاسِ ؕ وَ کَثِیۡرٌ حَقَّ عَلَیۡہِ الۡعَذَابُ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یُّہِنِ اللّٰہُ فَمَا لَہٗ مِنۡ مُّکۡرِمٍ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَفۡعَلُ مَا یَشَآءُ ﴿ؕٛ۱۸﴾
18. Have you not realised that whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth prostrates to Allah: the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the animals and many human beings? But for many the punishment has become due. And whomever Allah disgraces will find none who may bring him honour. Indeed, Allah does whatever He wills.
ألم تر أن الله يسجد له من في السماوات ومن في الأرض والشمس والقمر والنجوم والجبال والشجر والدواب وكثير من الناس وكثير حق عليه العذاب ومن يهن الله فما له من مكرم إن الله يفعل ما يشاء
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 18)
ہٰذٰنِ خَصۡمٰنِ اخۡتَصَمُوۡا فِیۡ رَبِّہِمۡ ۫ فَالَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا قُطِّعَتۡ لَہُمۡ ثِیَابٌ مِّنۡ نَّارٍ ؕ یُصَبُّ مِنۡ فَوۡقِ رُءُوۡسِہِمُ الۡحَمِیۡمُ ﴿ۚ۱۹﴾
19. These are two opposing groups who dispute about their Lord. As for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, and boiling liquid will be poured over their heads,
هذان خصمان اختصموا في ربهم فالذين كفروا قطعت لهم ثياب من نار يصب من فوق رؤوسهم الحميم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 19)
کُلَّمَاۤ اَرَادُوۡۤا اَنۡ یَّخۡرُجُوۡا مِنۡہَا مِنۡ غَمٍّ اُعِیۡدُوۡا فِیۡہَا ٭ وَ ذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابَ الۡحَرِیۡقِ ﴿٪۲۲﴾
22. Whenever they desire to leave it due to the intense suffering, they will be turned back into it (and told): ‘Taste the punishment of the burning!’
كلما أرادوا أن يخرجوا منها من غم أعيدوا فيها وذوقوا عذاب الحريق
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 22)
اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یُدۡخِلُ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِیۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِہَا الۡاَنۡہٰرُ یُحَلَّوۡنَ فِیۡہَا مِنۡ اَسَاوِرَ مِنۡ ذَہَبٍ وَّ لُؤۡلُؤًا ؕ وَ لِبَاسُہُمۡ فِیۡہَا حَرِیۡرٌ ﴿۲۳﴾
23. Surely, Allah will admit those who believe and perform righteous deeds to the Gardens with rivers flowing beneath them. They will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls. And their garments in it will be of silk.
إن الله يدخل الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار يحلون فيها من أساور من ذهب ولؤلؤا ولباسهم فيها حرير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 23)
اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا وَ یَصُدُّوۡنَ عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ وَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ الَّذِیۡ جَعَلۡنٰہُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءَۨ الۡعَاکِفُ فِیۡہِ وَ الۡبَادِ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یُّرِدۡ فِیۡہِ بِاِلۡحَادٍۭ بِظُلۡمٍ نُّذِقۡہُ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ اَلِیۡمٍ ﴿٪۲۵﴾
25. Indeed, those who disbelieve and block (others) from Allah’s way and from the Sacred Mosque (the Ka‘ba), which We have assigned for all the people who reside therein and the visitors alike, and whoever desires to violate (its sanctity) by some wrongdoing, We shall make him taste a painful punishment.
إن الذين كفروا ويصدون عن سبيل الله والمسجد الحرام الذي جعلناه للناس سواء العاكف فيه والباد ومن يرد فيه بإلحاد بظلم نذقه من عذاب أليم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 25)
وَ اِذۡ بَوَّاۡنَا لِاِبۡرٰہِیۡمَ مَکَانَ الۡبَیۡتِ اَنۡ لَّا تُشۡرِکۡ بِیۡ شَیۡئًا وَّ طَہِّرۡ بَیۡتِیَ لِلطَّآئِفِیۡنَ وَ الۡقَآئِمِیۡنَ وَ الرُّکَّعِ السُّجُوۡدِ ﴿۲۶﴾
26. And (recall) when We assigned for Ibrahim (Abraham) the site of the House (of Allah for its construction, saying:) ‘Do not ascribe any partners to Me and purify My House for those who circulate (the Ka‘ba), and those who bow and prostrate themselves.’
وإذ بوأنا لإبراهيم مكان البيت أن لا تشرك بي شيئا وطهر بيتي للطائفين والقائمين والركع السجود
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 26)
وَ اَذِّنۡ فِی النَّاسِ بِالۡحَجِّ یَاۡتُوۡکَ رِجَالًا وَّ عَلٰی کُلِّ ضَامِرٍ یَّاۡتِیۡنَ مِنۡ کُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِیۡقٍ ﴿ۙ۲۷﴾
27. And proclaim the Hajj (the Pilgrimage) among people: they will come to you on foot and upon every lean camel from all deep and distant places,
وأذن في الناس بالحج يأتوك رجالا وعلى كل ضامر يأتين من كل فج عميق
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 27)
لِّیَشۡہَدُوۡا مَنَافِعَ لَہُمۡ وَ یَذۡکُرُوا اسۡمَ اللّٰہِ فِیۡۤ اَیَّامٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٰتٍ عَلٰی مَا رَزَقَہُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَہِیۡمَۃِ الۡاَنۡعَامِ ۚ فَکُلُوۡا مِنۡہَا وَ اَطۡعِمُوا الۡبَآئِسَ الۡفَقِیۡرَ ﴿۫۲۸﴾
28. so that they may witness (some) benefits for them and mention Allah’s Name during specified days over the livestock He has provided them (to sacrifice). Then eat of them and feed the poor (and) the needy.
ليشهدوا منافع لهم ويذكروا اسم الله في أيام معلومات على ما رزقهم من بهيمة الأنعام فكلوا منها وأطعموا البائس الفقير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 28)
ثُمَّ لۡیَقۡضُوۡا تَفَثَہُمۡ وَ لۡیُوۡفُوۡا نُذُوۡرَہُمۡ وَ لۡیَطَّوَّفُوۡا بِالۡبَیۡتِ الۡعَتِیۡقِ ﴿۲۹﴾
29. Then let them accomplish their shaving and cleansing acts (upon removing the ihram), fulfil their vows (or complete the remaining rituals of the Pilgrimage) and circumambulate the Ancient House.
ثم ليقضوا تفثهم وليوفوا نذورهم وليطوفوا بالبيت العتيق
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 29)
ذٰلِکَ ٭ وَ مَنۡ یُّعَظِّمۡ حُرُمٰتِ اللّٰہِ فَہُوَ خَیۡرٌ لَّہٗ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہٖ ؕ وَ اُحِلَّتۡ لَکُمُ الۡاَنۡعَامُ اِلَّا مَا یُتۡلٰی عَلَیۡکُمۡ فَاجۡتَنِبُوا الرِّجۡسَ مِنَ الۡاَوۡثَانِ وَ اجۡتَنِبُوۡا قَوۡلَ الزُّوۡرِ ﴿ۙ۳۰﴾
30. That (is what has been commanded). And whoever venerates Allah’s sanctities—it is better for him in the sight of his Lord. And the cattle are made lawful to you except for what is explicitly recited to you (from the prohibitions). Therefore, avoid the filth of idols and avoid false words,
ذلك ومن يعظم حرمات الله فهو خير له عند ربه وأحلت لكم الأنعام إلا ما يتلى عليكم فاجتنبوا الرجس من الأوثان واجتنبوا قول الزور
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 30)
حُنَفَآءَ لِلّٰہِ غَیۡرَ مُشۡرِکِیۡنَ بِہٖ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یُّشۡرِکۡ بِاللّٰہِ فَکَاَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُہُ الطَّیۡرُ اَوۡ تَہۡوِیۡ بِہِ الرِّیۡحُ فِیۡ مَکَانٍ سَحِیۡقٍ ﴿۳۱﴾
31. while being persons of pure faith and devotion to Allah, without associating any partners with Him. Whoever ascribes partners to Allah, it is as though he has fallen from the sky, then the birds snatch him away, or the wind carries him away to a place far and wide.
حنفاء لله غير مشركين به ومن يشرك بالله فكأنما خر من السماء فتخطفه الطير أو تهوي به الريح في مكان سحيق
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 31)
ذٰلِکَ ٭ وَ مَنۡ یُّعَظِّمۡ شَعَآئِرَ اللّٰہِ فَاِنَّہَا مِنۡ تَقۡوَی الۡقُلُوۡبِ ﴿۳۲﴾
32. That (is how it is). And whoever venerates Allah’s signs (i.e. the sacred rituals, places and commands)—indeed, that is from the God-consciousness of the heart.
ذلك ومن يعظم شعائر الله فإنها من تقوى القلوب
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 32)
وَ لِکُلِّ اُمَّۃٍ جَعَلۡنَا مَنۡسَکًا لِّیَذۡکُرُوا اسۡمَ اللّٰہِ عَلٰی مَا رَزَقَہُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَہِیۡمَۃِ الۡاَنۡعَامِ ؕ فَاِلٰـہُکُمۡ اِلٰہٌ وَّاحِدٌ فَلَہٗۤ اَسۡلِمُوۡا ؕ وَ بَشِّرِ الۡمُخۡبِتِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۳۴﴾
34. And for every community, We have prescribed a sacrificial rite that they may invoke Allah’s name over the livestock He has provided them (at the time of their slaughtering). Your God is the One God. So to Him, you should submit. And give glad tidings to the humble,
ولكل أمة جعلنا منسكا ليذكروا اسم الله على ما رزقهم من بهيمة الأنعام فإلهكم إله واحد فله أسلموا وبشر المخبتين
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 34)
الَّذِیۡنَ اِذَا ذُکِرَ اللّٰہُ وَجِلَتۡ قُلُوۡبُہُمۡ وَ الصّٰبِرِیۡنَ عَلٰی مَاۤ اَصَابَہُمۡ وَ الۡمُقِیۡمِی الصَّلٰوۃِ ۙ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ ﴿۳۵﴾
35. whose hearts tremble with reverence when Allah is mentioned, and who are patient through whatever befalls them, and who maintain the prayer and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided them.
الذين إذا ذكر الله وجلت قلوبهم والصابرين على ما أصابهم والمقيمي الصلاة ومما رزقناهم ينفقون
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 35)
وَ الۡبُدۡنَ جَعَلۡنٰہَا لَکُمۡ مِّنۡ شَعَآئِرِ اللّٰہِ لَکُمۡ فِیۡہَا خَیۡرٌ ٭ۖ فَاذۡکُرُوا اسۡمَ اللّٰہِ عَلَیۡہَا صَوَآفَّ ۚ فَاِذَا وَجَبَتۡ جُنُوۡبُہَا فَکُلُوۡا مِنۡہَا وَ اَطۡعِمُوا الۡقَانِعَ وَ الۡمُعۡتَرَّ ؕ کَذٰلِکَ سَخَّرۡنٰہَا لَکُمۡ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَشۡکُرُوۡنَ ﴿۳۶﴾
36. And the sacrificial animals (i.e. camels and cows, etc.), We have made them for you among the signs of Allah. There is (much) good for you in them. So invoke Allah’s name over them as they line up for sacrifice. Once they have fallen upon their flanks (after being slaughtered), eat from them and feed the needy—those who are content and those who beg. Thus have We subjected them for your benefit so that you may give thanks.
والبدن جعلناها لكم من شعائر الله لكم فيها خير فاذكروا اسم الله عليها صواف فإذا وجبت جنوبها فكلوا منها وأطعموا القانع والمعتر كذلك سخرناها لكم لعلكم تشكرون
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 36)
لَنۡ یَّنَالَ اللّٰہَ لُحُوۡمُہَا وَ لَا دِمَآؤُہَا وَ لٰکِنۡ یَّنَالُہُ التَّقۡوٰی مِنۡکُمۡ ؕ کَذٰلِکَ سَخَّرَہَا لَکُمۡ لِتُکَبِّرُوا اللّٰہَ عَلٰی مَا ہَدٰىکُمۡ ؕ وَ بَشِّرِ الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ ﴿۳۷﴾
37. It is neither their flesh nor their blood that reaches Allah. Instead, it is your God-consciousness that reaches Him. That is how He has subjected them to your benefit. So that you may proclaim Allah’s greatness for what He has guided you to. And give glad tidings to the virtuously excellent.
لن ينال الله لحومها ولا دماؤها ولكن يناله التقوى منكم كذلك سخرها لكم لتكبروا الله على ما هداكم وبشر المحسنين
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 37)
اُذِنَ لِلَّذِیۡنَ یُقٰتَلُوۡنَ بِاَنَّہُمۡ ظُلِمُوۡا ؕ وَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَلٰی نَصۡرِہِمۡ لَقَدِیۡرُۨ ﴿ۙ۳۹﴾
39. Permission (to fight in self-defence) is granted to those upon whom war is imposed, for they have been wronged. And Allah is indeed All-Capable of helping them.
أذن للذين يقاتلون بأنهم ظلموا وإن الله على نصرهم لقدير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 39)
الَّذِیۡنَ اُخۡرِجُوۡا مِنۡ دِیَارِہِمۡ بِغَیۡرِ حَقٍّ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ یَّقُوۡلُوۡا رَبُّنَا اللّٰہُ ؕ وَ لَوۡ لَا دَفۡعُ اللّٰہِ النَّاسَ بَعۡضَہُمۡ بِبَعۡضٍ لَّہُدِّمَتۡ صَوَامِعُ وَ بِیَعٌ وَّ صَلَوٰتٌ وَّ مَسٰجِدُ یُذۡکَرُ فِیۡہَا اسۡمُ اللّٰہِ کَثِیۡرًا ؕ وَ لَیَنۡصُرَنَّ اللّٰہُ مَنۡ یَّنۡصُرُہٗ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَقَوِیٌّ عَزِیۡزٌ ﴿۴۰﴾
40. They are the ones who were unjustly expelled from their homes only because they said: ‘Our Lord is Allah.’ Had Allah not defended the people from one another, many monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques would have been destroyed, where Allah’s Name is mentioned abundantly. And Allah will surely help those who help His cause. Indeed, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.
الذين أخرجوا من ديارهم بغير حق إلا أن يقولوا ربنا الله ولولا دفع الله الناس بعضهم ببعض لهدمت صوامع وبيع وصلوات ومساجد يذكر فيها اسم الله كثيرا ولينصرن الله من ينصره إن الله لقوي عزيز
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 40)
اَلَّذِیۡنَ اِنۡ مَّکَّنّٰہُمۡ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ اَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتَوُا الزَّکٰوۃَ وَ اَمَرُوۡا بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ وَ نَہَوۡا عَنِ الۡمُنۡکَرِ ؕ وَ لِلّٰہِ عَاقِبَۃُ الۡاُمُوۡرِ ﴿۴۱﴾
41. (They are) those who, if We granted them power in the land, will establish the prayer, give the alms due, enjoin good and forbid evil. And to Allah is the end of all affairs.
الذين إن مكناهم في الأرض أقاموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة وأمروا بالمعروف ونهوا عن المنكر ولله عاقبة الأمور
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 41)
وَّ اَصۡحٰبُ مَدۡیَنَ ۚ وَ کُذِّبَ مُوۡسٰی فَاَمۡلَیۡتُ لِلۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ ثُمَّ اَخَذۡتُہُمۡ ۚ فَکَیۡفَ کَانَ نَکِیۡرِ ﴿۴۴﴾
44. And the inhabitants of Madyan ([Midian] did the same thing). And Musa (Moses) was also denied. But I granted respite to the disbelievers. Then, I overtook them (with punishment). So how terrible was My retribution!
وأصحاب مدين وكذب موسى فأمليت للكافرين ثم أخذتهم فكيف كان نكير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 44)
فَکَاَیِّنۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡیَۃٍ اَہۡلَکۡنٰہَا وَ ہِیَ ظَالِمَۃٌ فَہِیَ خَاوِیَۃٌ عَلٰی عُرُوۡشِہَا وَ بِئۡرٍ مُّعَطَّلَۃٍ وَّ قَصۡرٍ مَّشِیۡدٍ ﴿۴۵﴾
45. How many towns have We destroyed while their inhabitants were wrongdoers, lying fallen on their roofs, and (their) deserted wells and lofty palaces (also)?
فكأين من قرية أهلكناها وهي ظالمة فهي خاوية على عروشها وبئر معطلة وقصر مشيد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 45)
اَفَلَمۡ یَسِیۡرُوۡا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ فَتَکُوۡنَ لَہُمۡ قُلُوۡبٌ یَّعۡقِلُوۡنَ بِہَاۤ اَوۡ اٰذَانٌ یَّسۡمَعُوۡنَ بِہَا ۚ فَاِنَّہَا لَا تَعۡمَی الۡاَبۡصَارُ وَ لٰکِنۡ تَعۡمَی الۡقُلُوۡبُ الَّتِیۡ فِی الصُّدُوۡرِ ﴿۴۶﴾
46. Have they (the Meccans) not travelled through the land so that they may have hearts by which they may understand or ears by which they may hear? Indeed, it is not the eyes that turn blind, but the hearts become blind, which are in the breasts.
أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فتكون لهم قلوب يعقلون بها أو آذان يسمعون بها فإنها لا تعمى الأبصار ولكن تعمى القلوب التي في الصدور
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 46)
وَ یَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَکَ بِالۡعَذَابِ وَ لَنۡ یُّخۡلِفَ اللّٰہُ وَعۡدَہٗ ؕ وَ اِنَّ یَوۡمًا عِنۡدَ رَبِّکَ کَاَلۡفِ سَنَۃٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّوۡنَ ﴿۴۷﴾
47. They demand you to hasten the punishment, but Allah shall never break His promise. Indeed, a single day in the sight of your Lord is like a thousand years by your calculation.
ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولن يخلف الله وعده وإن يوما عند ربك كألف سنة مما تعدون
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 47)
وَ کَاَیِّنۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡیَۃٍ اَمۡلَیۡتُ لَہَا وَ ہِیَ ظَالِمَۃٌ ثُمَّ اَخَذۡتُہَا ۚ وَ اِلَیَّ الۡمَصِیۡرُ ﴿٪۴۸﴾
48. How many towns did I grant respite while their inhabitants were wrongdoers? Then, I overtook it (with punishment). And towards Me is the destination.
وكأين من قرية أمليت لها وهي ظالمة ثم أخذتها وإلي المصير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 48)
وَ مَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِکَ مِنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ وَّ لَا نَبِیٍّ اِلَّاۤ اِذَا تَمَنّٰۤی اَلۡقَی الشَّیۡطٰنُ فِیۡۤ اُمۡنِیَّتِہٖ ۚ فَیَنۡسَخُ اللّٰہُ مَا یُلۡقِی الشَّیۡطٰنُ ثُمَّ یُحۡکِمُ اللّٰہُ اٰیٰتِہٖ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَلِیۡمٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿ۙ۵۲﴾
52. And We did not send any messenger or prophet before you except that when he would recite, Satan would cast (doubts in people’s minds) about his recitation. But Allah nullifies whatever Satan casts. Then Allah confirms His revelations (in the hearts and minds of the believers), and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
وما أرسلنا من قبلك من رسول ولا نبي إلا إذا تمنى ألقى الشيطان في أمنيته فينسخ الله ما يلقي الشيطان ثم يحكم الله آياته والله عليم حكيم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 52)
لِّیَجۡعَلَ مَا یُلۡقِی الشَّیۡطٰنُ فِتۡنَۃً لِّلَّذِیۡنَ فِیۡ قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ مَّرَضٌ وَّ الۡقَاسِیَۃِ قُلُوۡبُہُمۡ ؕ وَ اِنَّ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ لَفِیۡ شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِیۡدٍ ﴿ۙ۵۳﴾
53. (It is) so that Allah may make these (false doubts) which Satan casts (into their minds) a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and those whose hearts are hardened (with disbelief). Indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme defiance.
ليجعل ما يلقي الشيطان فتنة للذين في قلوبهم مرض والقاسية قلوبهم وإن الظالمين لفي شقاق بعيد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 53)
وَّ لِیَعۡلَمَ الَّذِیۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡعِلۡمَ اَنَّہُ الۡحَقُّ مِنۡ رَّبِّکَ فَیُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِہٖ فَتُخۡبِتَ لَہٗ قُلُوۡبُہُمۡ ؕ وَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَہَادِ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِیۡمٍ ﴿۵۴﴾
54. And that those who have been given knowledge may realise that it (i.e. the recited revelation) is the truth from your Lord, and thus believe in it (by rejecting Satan’s interjections) and that their hearts may humble before Him. Indeed, Allah guides the believers to the straight path.
وليعلم الذين أوتوا العلم أنه الحق من ربك فيؤمنوا به فتخبت له قلوبهم وإن الله لهاد الذين آمنوا إلى صراط مستقيم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 54)
وَ لَا یَزَالُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا فِیۡ مِرۡیَۃٍ مِّنۡہُ حَتّٰی تَاۡتِیَہُمُ السَّاعَۃُ بَغۡتَۃً اَوۡ یَاۡتِیَہُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمٍ عَقِیۡمٍ ﴿۵۵﴾
55. Yet those who disbelieve will persist in (their) doubt about it until the Hour overtakes them suddenly or the punishment of a barren day comes upon them.
ولا يزال الذين كفروا في مرية منه حتى تأتيهم الساعة بغتة أو يأتيهم عذاب يوم عقيم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 55)
اَلۡمُلۡکُ یَوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلّٰہِ ؕ یَحۡکُمُ بَیۡنَہُمۡ ؕ فَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فِیۡ جَنّٰتِ النَّعِیۡمِ ﴿۵۶﴾
56. On that Day, all sovereignty shall belong to Allah. He will judge between them. Then those who believe and perform righteous deeds shall be in Gardens of Bliss.
الملك يومئذ لله يحكم بينهم فالذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات في جنات النعيم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 56)
وَ الَّذِیۡنَ ہَاجَرُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوۡۤا اَوۡ مَاتُوۡا لَیَرۡزُقَنَّہُمُ اللّٰہُ رِزۡقًا حَسَنًا ؕ وَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَہُوَ خَیۡرُ الرّٰزِقِیۡنَ ﴿۵۸﴾
58. And those who migrated in Allah’s way, and were then slain or died, Allah shall indeed provide them with a beautiful provision. Indeed, Allah is the best of providers.
والذين هاجروا في سبيل الله ثم قتلوا أو ماتوا ليرزقنهم الله رزقا حسنا وإن الله لهو خير الرازقين
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 58)
ذٰلِکَ ۚ وَ مَنۡ عَاقَبَ بِمِثۡلِ مَا عُوۡقِبَ بِہٖ ثُمَّ بُغِیَ عَلَیۡہِ لَیَنۡصُرَنَّہُ اللّٰہُ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُوۡرٌ ﴿۶۰﴾
60. That is so. And whoever retaliates in equal measure to what he was made to suffer and is then oppressed again, Allah will surely help him. Indeed, Allah is All-Excusing, All-Forgiving.
ذلك ومن عاقب بمثل ما عوقب به ثم بغي عليه لينصرنه الله إن الله لعفو غفور
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 60)
ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُوۡلِجُ الَّیۡلَ فِی النَّہَارِ وَ یُوۡلِجُ النَّہَارَ فِی الَّیۡلِ وَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ سَمِیۡعٌۢ بَصِیۡرٌ ﴿۶۱﴾
61. That is because Allah merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night. And indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
ذلك بأن الله يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وأن الله سميع بصير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 61)
ذٰلِکَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰہَ ہُوَ الۡحَقُّ وَ اَنَّ مَا یَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ ہُوَ الۡبَاطِلُ وَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ ہُوَ الۡعَلِیُّ الۡکَبِیۡرُ ﴿۶۲﴾
62. That is because it is Allah (alone) Who is the Truth, and whatever else they worship besides Him is false. And indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Exalted, the All-Great.
ذلك بأن الله هو الحق وأن ما يدعون من دونه هو الباطل وأن الله هو العلي الكبير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 62)
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً ۫ فَتُصۡبِحُ الۡاَرۡضُ مُخۡضَرَّۃً ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَطِیۡفٌ خَبِیۡرٌ ﴿ۚ۶۳﴾
63. Have you not seen that Allah sends down water from the sky so the earth becomes fresh and green? Indeed, Allah is All-Gracious All-Aware.
ألم تر أن الله أنزل من السماء ماء فتصبح الأرض مخضرة إن الله لطيف خبير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 63)
لَہٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَہُوَ الۡغَنِیُّ الۡحَمِیۡدُ ﴿٪۶۴﴾
64. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Self-Sufficient, the All-Praised.
له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض وإن الله لهو الغني الحميد
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 64)
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ سَخَّرَ لَکُمۡ مَّا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ وَ الۡفُلۡکَ تَجۡرِیۡ فِی الۡبَحۡرِ بِاَمۡرِہٖ ؕ وَ یُمۡسِکُ السَّمَآءَ اَنۡ تَقَعَ عَلَی الۡاَرۡضِ اِلَّا بِاِذۡنِہٖ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِیۡمٌ ﴿۶۵﴾
65. Have you not seen that Allah has made subservient to you whatever is on the earth, and (that) the ships sail in the sea by His command, and that He sustains the sky (through a cosmic system) lest it should fall on the earth, except (when He wills, they will collide) by His leave? Indeed, Allah is Most-Kind (and) All-Merciful towards people.
ألم تر أن الله سخر لكم ما في الأرض والفلك تجري في البحر بأمره ويمسك السماء أن تقع على الأرض إلا بإذنه إن الله بالناس لرؤوف رحيم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 65)
وَ ہُوَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَحۡیَاکُمۡ ۫ ثُمَّ یُمِیۡتُکُمۡ ثُمَّ یُحۡیِیۡکُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَکَفُوۡرٌ ﴿۶۶﴾
66. And He is the One Who brought you to life, then He causes you to die, then He will bring you to life (again). Indeed, humans are very ungrateful.
وهو الذي أحياكم ثم يميتكم ثم يحييكم إن الإنسان لكفور
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 66)
لِکُلِّ اُمَّۃٍ جَعَلۡنَا مَنۡسَکًا ہُمۡ نَاسِکُوۡہُ فَلَا یُنَازِعُنَّکَ فِی الۡاَمۡرِ وَ ادۡعُ اِلٰی رَبِّکَ ؕ اِنَّکَ لَعَلٰی ہُدًی مُّسۡتَقِیۡمٍ ﴿۶۷﴾
67. For every nation, We have prescribed a ritual act of devotion which they have to perform. Therefore, they should not argue with you regarding the matter (of Allah’s command). And invite (them) to your Lord. Indeed, you are on the straight (path of) guidance.
لكل أمة جعلنا منسكا هم ناسكوه فلا ينازعنك في الأمر وادع إلى ربك إنك لعلى هدى مستقيم
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 67)
اَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یَعۡلَمُ مَا فِی السَّمَآءِ وَ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ اِنَّ ذٰلِکَ فِیۡ کِتٰبٍ ؕ اِنَّ ذٰلِکَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ یَسِیۡرٌ ﴿۷۰﴾
70. Do you not know that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth? That is surely (written) in a Book. That is indeed easy for Allah.
ألم تعلم أن الله يعلم ما في السماء والأرض إن ذلك في كتاب إن ذلك على الله يسير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 70)
وَ یَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ مَا لَمۡ یُنَزِّلۡ بِہٖ سُلۡطٰنًا وَّ مَا لَیۡسَ لَہُمۡ بِہٖ عِلۡمٌ ؕ وَ مَا لِلظّٰلِمِیۡنَ مِنۡ نَّصِیۡرٍ ﴿۷۱﴾
71. And they worship besides Allah that for which He has sent down no authority and about which they have no knowledge. And the wrongdoers shall have no helper (on the Day of Judgement).
ويعبدون من دون الله ما لم ينزل به سلطانا وما ليس لهم به علم وما للظالمين من نصير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 71)
وَ اِذَا تُتۡلٰی عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتُنَا بَیِّنٰتٍ تَعۡرِفُ فِیۡ وُجُوۡہِ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوا الۡمُنۡکَرَ ؕ یَکَادُوۡنَ یَسۡطُوۡنَ بِالَّذِیۡنَ یَتۡلُوۡنَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتِنَا ؕ قُلۡ اَفَاُنَبِّئُکُمۡ بِشَرٍّ مِّنۡ ذٰلِکُمۡ ؕ اَلنَّارُ ؕ وَعَدَہَا اللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا ؕ وَ بِئۡسَ الۡمَصِیۡرُ ﴿٪۷۲﴾
72. When Our enlightening verses are recited to them, you perceive denial on the faces of those who disbelieve. It is almost as if they would attack those who recite our verses to them. Say: ‘Shall I tell you what is far worse than that? The Fire which Allah has promised to those who disbelieve. And it is an evil destination!’
وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات تعرف في وجوه الذين كفروا المنكر يكادون يسطون بالذين يتلون عليهم آياتنا قل أفأنبئكم بشر من ذلكم النار وعدها الله الذين كفروا وبئس المصير
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 72)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسۡتَمِعُوۡا لَہٗ ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ لَنۡ یَّخۡلُقُوۡا ذُبَابًا وَّ لَوِ اجۡتَمَعُوۡا لَہٗ ؕ وَ اِنۡ یَّسۡلُبۡہُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَیۡئًا لَّا یَسۡتَنۡقِذُوۡہُ مِنۡہُ ؕ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَ الۡمَطۡلُوۡبُ ﴿۷۳﴾
73. O people! An illustration is being given; listen to it (carefully). Indeed, those (idols) you worship besides Allah cannot create (even) a fly, even if they were to come together for that (purpose). And if the fly snatches something from them, they could not rescue that from it. How helpless are the seeker (i.e. the idol worshippers) and the sought (i.e. the idol gods)?
يا أيها الناس ضرب مثل فاستمعوا له إن الذين تدعون من دون الله لن يخلقوا ذبابا ولو اجتمعوا له وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا لا يستنقذوه منه ضعف الطالب والمطلوب
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 73)
یَعۡلَمُ مَا بَیۡنَ اَیۡدِیۡہِمۡ وَ مَا خَلۡفَہُمۡ ؕ وَ اِلَی اللّٰہِ تُرۡجَعُ الۡاُمُوۡرُ ﴿۷۶﴾
76. He knows what is before them (i.e. their future) and what is behind them (i.e. their past). And to Allah, all matters are returned.
يعلم ما بين أيديهم وما خلفهم وإلى الله ترجع الأمور
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 76)
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوا ارۡکَعُوۡا وَ اسۡجُدُوۡا وَ اعۡبُدُوۡا رَبَّکُمۡ وَ افۡعَلُوا الۡخَیۡرَ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ﴿ۚٛ۷۷﴾
77. O believers! Bow down and prostrate yourselves. And worship your Lord, and do (what is) good, so that you may prosper.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا اركعوا واسجدوا واعبدوا ربكم وافعلوا الخير لعلكم تفلحون
(الْحَجّ، 22 : 77)
وَ جَاہِدُوۡا فِی اللّٰہِ حَقَّ جِہَادِہٖ ؕ ہُوَ اجۡتَبٰىکُمۡ وَ مَا جَعَلَ عَلَیۡکُمۡ فِی الدِّیۡنِ مِنۡ حَرَجٍ ؕ مِلَّۃَ اَبِیۡکُمۡ اِبۡرٰہِیۡمَ ؕ ہُوَ سَمّٰىکُمُ الۡمُسۡلِمِیۡنَ ۬ۙ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَ فِیۡ ہٰذَا لِیَکُوۡنَ الرَّسُوۡلُ شَہِیۡدًا عَلَیۡکُمۡ وَ تَکُوۡنُوۡا شُہَدَآءَ عَلَی النَّاسِ ۚۖ فَاَقِیۡمُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتُوا الزَّکٰوۃَ وَ اعۡتَصِمُوۡا بِاللّٰہِ ؕ ہُوَ مَوۡلٰىکُمۡ ۚ فَنِعۡمَ الۡمَوۡلٰی وَ نِعۡمَ النَّصِیۡرُ ﴿٪۷۸﴾
