2. O believers! Do not violate Allah’s sacraments (i.e. the sacred signs and rituals of the pilgrimage), neither (the sanctity of) the sacred month nor the sacrificial offering, nor the necklaces (hung around the necks of the sacrificial animals), nor those going to the Sacred House seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord. And when you become free from the (obligation of) pilgrim sanctity, you may hunt for game. And do not let your hatred for a people who (once) turned you away from the Sacred Mosque lead you to commit aggression. And help one another in righteousness and God-vigilance (guarding yourselves against evil), and do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And be God-conscious. Indeed, Allah is severe in retribution.
