In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the All-Merciful
الٓـمّٓ ۚ﴿۱﴾
1. Alif, Lam, Mim.
الم
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 1)
اَمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ افۡتَرٰىہُ ۚ بَلۡ ہُوَ الۡحَقُّ مِنۡ رَّبِّکَ لِتُنۡذِرَ قَوۡمًا مَّاۤ اَتٰہُمۡ مِّنۡ نَّذِیۡرٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِکَ لَعَلَّہُمۡ یَہۡتَدُوۡنَ ﴿۳﴾
3. Do they say: ‘He has fabricated it?’ No! It is the truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you—that perhaps they may be guided (to the right path).
أم يقولون افتراه بل هو الحق من ربك لتنذر قوما ما أتاهم من نذير من قبلك لعلهم يهتدون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 3)
اَللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضَ وَ مَا بَیۡنَہُمَا فِیۡ سِتَّۃِ اَیَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰی عَلَی الۡعَرۡشِ ؕ مَا لَکُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِہٖ مِنۡ وَّلِیٍّ وَّ لَا شَفِیۡعٍ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَذَکَّرُوۡنَ ﴿۴﴾
4. Allah is the One Who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six periods. Then He established (His authority) over the Throne (befitting His Glory). Apart from Him, you have neither any protector nor intercessor. Will you not then become mindful (of advice)?
الله الذي خلق السماوات والأرض وما بينهما في ستة أيام ثم استوى على العرش ما لكم من دونه من ولي ولا شفيع أفلا تتذكرون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 4)
یُدَبِّرُ الۡاَمۡرَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ اِلَی الۡاَرۡضِ ثُمَّ یَعۡرُجُ اِلَیۡہِ فِیۡ یَوۡمٍ کَانَ مِقۡدَارُہٗۤ اَلۡفَ سَنَۃٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّوۡنَ ﴿۵﴾
5. He governs every affair from the heavens to the earth. Then it all ascends to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years by your counting.
يدبر الأمر من السماء إلى الأرض ثم يعرج إليه في يوم كان مقداره ألف سنة مما تعدون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 5)
الَّذِیۡۤ اَحۡسَنَ کُلَّ شَیۡءٍ خَلَقَہٗ وَ بَدَاَ خَلۡقَ الۡاِنۡسَانِ مِنۡ طِیۡنٍ ۚ﴿۷﴾
7. Who perfected everything that He created and originated the creation of humankind from clay.
* Comprising minerals, metals, salts and chemical elements like calcium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, natrum, kalium, silicon, chlorine, iodine, fluorine, magnesium, zinc, sulfur, ferrum, cuprum, etc. These and other elements of clay also form the ingredients of a balanced diet essential for our nourishment. The animals whose meat and milk we take live on the vegetable world. The grain, vegetables, fruits and roots that form our food feed on the soil they grow in and absorb all its chemicals.
الذي أحسن كل شيء خلقه وبدأ خلق الإنسان من طين
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 7)
ثُمَّ سَوّٰىہُ وَ نَفَخَ فِیۡہِ مِنۡ رُّوۡحِہٖ وَ جَعَلَ لَکُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَ الۡاَبۡصَارَ وَ الۡاَفۡـِٕدَۃَ ؕ قَلِیۡلًا مَّا تَشۡکُرُوۡنَ ﴿۹﴾
9. Then, He proportioned him and breathed into him from His spirit. Then He made for you ears, eyes and hearts. Yet you hardly give thanks.
ثم سواه ونفخ فيه من روحه وجعل لكم السمع والأبصار والأفئدة قليلا ما تشكرون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 9)
وَ قَالُوۡۤا ءَ اِذَا ضَلَلۡنَا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ ءَ اِنَّا لَفِیۡ خَلۡقٍ جَدِیۡدٍ ۬ؕ بَلۡ ہُمۡ بِلِقَآیِٔ رَبِّہِمۡ کٰفِرُوۡنَ ﴿۱۰﴾
10. Still, they say (mockingly): ‘When we are lost in the earth, shall we certainly be (raised) in a new creation?’ Instead, they disbelieve in the meeting of their Lord.
وقالوا أئذا ضللنا في الأرض أئنا لفي خلق جديد بل هم بلقاء ربهم كافرون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 10)
قُلۡ یَتَوَفّٰىکُمۡ مَّلَکُ الۡمَوۡتِ الَّذِیۡ وُکِّلَ بِکُمۡ ثُمَّ اِلٰی رَبِّکُمۡ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ﴿٪۱۱﴾
11. Say: ‘The angel of death, who has been given charge of you, will take you (i.e. your soul) away. Then to your Lord, you shall be returned.’
قل يتوفاكم ملك الموت الذي وكل بكم ثم إلى ربكم ترجعون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 11)
وَ لَوۡ تَرٰۤی اِذِ الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ نَاکِسُوۡا رُءُوۡسِہِمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہِمۡ ؕ رَبَّنَاۤ اَبۡصَرۡنَا وَ سَمِعۡنَا فَارۡجِعۡنَا نَعۡمَلۡ صَالِحًا اِنَّا مُوۡقِنُوۡنَ ﴿۱۲﴾
12. And if you could see when the guilty, hanging their heads (in shame) in the presence of their Lord, (will confess:) ‘Our Lord! We have seen and heard; therefore, send us back (to the world) so that we may act righteously. Indeed, we are (now) convinced.’
ولو ترى إذ المجرمون ناكسو رؤوسهم عند ربهم ربنا أبصرنا وسمعنا فارجعنا نعمل صالحا إنا موقنون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 12)
وَ لَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَاٰتَیۡنَا کُلَّ نَفۡسٍ ہُدٰىہَا وَ لٰکِنۡ حَقَّ الۡقَوۡلُ مِنِّیۡ لَاَمۡلَـَٔنَّ جَہَنَّمَ مِنَ الۡجِنَّۃِ وَ النَّاسِ اَجۡمَعِیۡنَ ﴿۱۳﴾
13. And had We willed, We could have given each soul its guidance, but the Word from Me is confirmed (against the defiant): ‘I will indeed fill up Hell with the (guilty) jinn and humans all together.’
ولو شئنا لآتينا كل نفس هداها ولكن حق القول مني لأملأن جهنم من الجنة والناس أجمعين
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 13)
فَذُوۡقُوۡا بِمَا نَسِیۡتُمۡ لِقَآءَ یَوۡمِکُمۡ ہٰذَا ۚ اِنَّا نَسِیۡنٰکُمۡ وَ ذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابَ الۡخُلۡدِ بِمَا کُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۴﴾
14. So taste (the punishment), for you forgot the meeting of this day of yours. We (too) have forgotten you. And taste the everlasting punishment for what you used to do.
فذوقوا بما نسيتم لقاء يومكم هذا إنا نسيناكم وذوقوا عذاب الخلد بما كنتم تعملون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 14)
اِنَّمَا یُؤۡمِنُ بِاٰیٰتِنَا الَّذِیۡنَ اِذَا ذُکِّرُوۡا بِہَا خَرُّوۡا سُجَّدًا وَّ سَبَّحُوۡا بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّہِمۡ وَ ہُمۡ لَا یَسۡتَکۡبِرُوۡنَ ﴿ٛ۱۵﴾
15. The (true) believers in Our revelations are only those who, when reminded of them, fall into prostration and glorify their Lord’s praise, and are not arrogant.
إنما يؤمن بآياتنا الذين إذا ذكروا بها خروا سجدا وسبحوا بحمد ربهم وهم لا يستكبرون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 15)
تَتَجَافٰی جُنُوۡبُہُمۡ عَنِ الۡمَضَاجِعِ یَدۡعُوۡنَ رَبَّہُمۡ خَوۡفًا وَّ طَمَعًا ۫ وَّ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ ﴿۱۶﴾
16. Their sides abandon their beds, calling upon their Lord out of fear and hope. And they spend (in charity) from what We have provided them.
تتجافى جنوبهم عن المضاجع يدعون ربهم خوفا وطمعا ومما رزقناهم ينفقون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 16)
فَلَا تَعۡلَمُ نَفۡسٌ مَّاۤ اُخۡفِیَ لَہُمۡ مِّنۡ قُرَّۃِ اَعۡیُنٍ ۚ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷﴾
17. No soul knows what has been kept hidden for them of comfort to the eyes as a reward for what they used to do.
فلا تعلم نفس ما أخفي لهم من قرة أعين جزاء بما كانوا يعملون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 17)
اَمَّا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَہُمۡ جَنّٰتُ الۡمَاۡوٰی ۫ نُزُلًۢا بِمَا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۹﴾
19. Those who believe and perform righteous deeds will have the Gardens of Eternal abode as a hospitality for what they used to do.
أما الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات فلهم جنات المأوى نزلا بما كانوا يعملون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 19)
وَ اَمَّا الَّذِیۡنَ فَسَقُوۡا فَمَاۡوٰىہُمُ النَّارُ ؕ کُلَّمَاۤ اَرَادُوۡۤا اَنۡ یَّخۡرُجُوۡا مِنۡہَاۤ اُعِیۡدُوۡا فِیۡہَا وَ قِیۡلَ لَہُمۡ ذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذِیۡ کُنۡتُمۡ بِہٖ تُکَذِّبُوۡنَ ﴿۲۰﴾
20. As for those who disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Whenever they desire to come out of it, they will be driven back into it and told: ‘Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to deny.’
وأما الذين فسقوا فمأواهم النار كلما أرادوا أن يخرجوا منها أعيدوا فيها وقيل لهم ذوقوا عذاب النار الذي كنتم به تكذبون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 20)
وَ لَنُذِیۡقَنَّہُمۡ مِّنَ الۡعَذَابِ الۡاَدۡنٰی دُوۡنَ الۡعَذَابِ الۡاَکۡبَرِ لَعَلَّہُمۡ یَرۡجِعُوۡنَ ﴿۲۱﴾
21. We will surely make them taste some of the minor punishment (of this world) before the greater punishment (of the Hereafter). Perhaps they may return (to the right path).
ولنذيقنهم من العذاب الأدنى دون العذاب الأكبر لعلهم يرجعون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 21)
وَ مَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنۡ ذُکِّرَ بِاٰیٰتِ رَبِّہٖ ثُمَّ اَعۡرَضَ عَنۡہَا ؕ اِنَّا مِنَ الۡمُجۡرِمِیۡنَ مُنۡتَقِمُوۡنَ ﴿٪۲۲﴾
22. Who is a greater wrongdoer than the one who is reminded of his Lord’s signs and then turns away from them? Indeed, We shall take vengeance upon the guilty.
ومن أظلم ممن ذكر بآيات ربه ثم أعرض عنها إنا من المجرمين منتقمون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 22)
وَ لَقَدۡ اٰتَیۡنَا مُوۡسَی الۡکِتٰبَ فَلَا تَکُنۡ فِیۡ مِرۡیَۃٍ مِّنۡ لِّقَآئِہٖ وَ جَعَلۡنٰہُ ہُدًی لِّبَنِیۡۤ اِسۡرَآءِیۡلَ ﴿ۚ۲۳﴾
23. And We certainly gave Musa (Moses) the Book. So be not in doubt regarding his meeting (with Him). And We made him a guide for the Children of Israel.
ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب فلا تكن في مرية من لقائه وجعلناه هدى لبني إسرائيل
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 23)
وَ جَعَلۡنَا مِنۡہُمۡ اَئِمَّۃً یَّہۡدُوۡنَ بِاَمۡرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوۡا ۟ؕ وَ کَانُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِنَا یُوۡقِنُوۡنَ ﴿۲۴﴾
24. We raised leaders among them, guiding (the people) according to Our command when they patiently endured and firmly believed in Our revelations.
وجعلنا منهم أئمة يهدون بأمرنا لما صبروا وكانوا بآياتنا يوقنون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 24)
اَوَ لَمۡ یَہۡدِ لَہُمۡ کَمۡ اَہۡلَکۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ مِّنَ الۡقُرُوۡنِ یَمۡشُوۡنَ فِیۡ مَسٰکِنِہِمۡ ؕ اِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ لَاٰیٰتٍ ؕ اَفَلَا یَسۡمَعُوۡنَ ﴿۲۶﴾
26. Does it not guide them: how many generations We have destroyed before them, amidst (the ruins of) whose dwellings they walk? There are indeed signs in it. Will they not then listen?
أولم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات أفلا يسمعون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 26)
اَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا اَنَّا نَسُوۡقُ الۡمَآءَ اِلَی الۡاَرۡضِ الۡجُرُزِ فَنُخۡرِجُ بِہٖ زَرۡعًا تَاۡکُلُ مِنۡہُ اَنۡعَامُہُمۡ وَ اَنۡفُسُہُمۡ ؕ اَفَلَا یُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ﴿ؓ۲۷﴾
27. Do they not see that We carry rainwater to the barren land and produce (various) crops through it, from which they and their cattle eat? Do they not observe?
أولم يروا أنا نسوق الماء إلى الأرض الجرز فنخرج به زرعا تأكل منه أنعامهم وأنفسهم أفلا يبصرون
(السَّجْدَة، 32 : 27)
قُلۡ یَوۡمَ الۡفَتۡحِ لَا یَنۡفَعُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡۤا اِیۡمَانُہُمۡ وَ لَا ہُمۡ یُنۡظَرُوۡنَ ﴿۲۹﴾
